Piers Morgan wonders if Prince Harry's happy with 'social-climber' Meghan Markle

Outspoken Piers Morgan has taken another stab at Meghan Markle branding her as a “social-climber” along with calling her a “disingenuous self-serving wrecking ball”.

The 55-year-old took aim during a diary-based article which outlined his reasons for leaving Good Morning Britain, following the televised Oprah Winfrey discussion with Meghan and Prince Harry.

After the bombshell interview, Piers and weather man Alex Beresford went head-to-head live on air, expressing their very opposing views, with the heated debate not ending well.

As a result of the on-screen clash, the Life Stories star ended up storming off set, later handing in his notice after he point blankly refused to apologise.

Airing his grievances about having an opinion, he held Meghan in the frame once again.

Writing for the Mail on Sunday while explaining his side of the story, he fumed: “I expected such disingenuous. self-serving wrecking-ball stuff from a social-climbing Hollywood actress like Ms Markle, but for Harry to publicly shred his family and the Monarchy like this, while Prince Philip was seriously ill in hospital, is so out of character for a man who once bravely served his Queen and country in war.”

He then turned to Prince Harry with his words, asking if he’d actually been happy to participate.

Piers asked: “He can’t be happy doing this, surely?”

Controversial Piers vowed to stand by his own words, citing “freedom of speech” while insisting there hadn’t been any foul play with choosing to “not believe” Meghan’s version of events.

In spite of being attacked online by cyber bullies for having an opinion on the matter, Piers defiantly decided to speak out against the Suits actress again.

Meanwhile, the TV journalist also referenced speculation that his and Susanna’s relationship had hit the rocks following his swift departure from the ITV programme.

It appeared after Susanna’s “frosty” leaving speech delivery there had been some bad blood between the TV husband and wife.

However, it seemed that Susanna had opted to be the bigger person, reaching out with a telephone chat days after she’d told the nation that things were about to be “very different” without Piers at the helm.

As a result, the on-screen couple have decided when the Covid-19 lockdown is over they’ll head out for a “boozy lunch” to patch things up while celebrating five years of working with one another.
