GMB viewers 'switch off' as host Adil Ray talks about butt cheeks before 7am

Good Morning Britain viewers were put off their cornflakes on Wednesday as host Adil Ray constantly talked about butt cheeks.

The 46-year-old actor and comedian was back on our screens to present the ITV breakfast show alongside Ranvir Singh.

He kicked off the programme by telling fans watching at home what they can expect on the latest edition of GMB.

Adil explained that one of the guests appearing on the show has previously kept a penny between their butt cheeks to help with posture.

The excited television star told co-star Ranvir, 43, that he couldn’t wait to chat the famous face, which he didn’t name to keep fans in suspense.

Good Morning Britain viewers were put off their cornflakes on Wednesday as host Adil Ray constantly talked about butt cheeks

Viewers at home rushed to their keyboards to vent as Adil brought up “butt cheeks” throughout the show.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “These butt cheek references have forced me out at last, I don’t think I’ll be viewing #gmb again.”

Another added: “Every morning I say to myself ‘I’ll just try it once more, maybe it’ll be a news programme instead of fragments interspersed with weather/competitions’. Today hit a new low. 10 mins on coins between your butt cheeks and gravy on your breakfast. That’s it, I’m off. #GMB.”

The comedian got up off his chair and showed his colleagues what he meant about the “penny in the bum cheeks”

A third person posted: “GMB talking about what you stick between your butt cheeks at 6:30am.”

“Wtf am I watching?”, a fourth viewer ranted.

As Adil and Ravir chatted to competition presenter And Peters, the host said: “Is he the man who’s got a penny suck between his butt cheeks?”

A confused Andi, who was reporting live from location, looked completely vague and admitted he had no idea what Adil was talking about.

Adil announced last week that he will be hosting Good Morning Britain for the whole month of April

The former Dancing on Ice contestant said: “You leave my butt cheeks out of his. I’ve been squatting during lockdown to make sure I’ve got a good set of glutes.”

Andi, 50 began squatting live on air and Adil joked: “Have you had breakfast? I feel sorry for the camera team.”

Strictly Come Dancing star Ranvir added “There’s no way there’s a penny in there.”

It was later revealed that the mystery celebrity who used the penny trick was Agatha Christie star David Suchet.
