A clip has resurfaced on Twitter showing Prince Philip blushing as he celebrated his 80th birthday back in 2001.
The cheeky footage, which was shared by Twitter user Grant Tucker, showed the Duke of Edinburgh blushing as Dame Shirley Bassey gave him a very racy performance to mark the milestone birthday.
Dame Shirley performed a very raunchy rendition of her hugely popular hit song, Big Spender on the BBC special.
In the video Shirley, now 84, looked incredible as she donned a plunging gold dress, which featured a racy thigh-slit.
The ageless beauty left the Prince gobsmacked, as she flirted her way through the cheeky performance.
At one point ageless beauty Shirley lifted up her dress to completely expose her thigh to Prince Philip whose face was an absolute picture.
Flirty Shirley then asked him directly: “Do you like that?,” as the audience burst into giggles.
Shirley delivered a powerhouse performance to the track, before rounding it off by turning and facing away from Prince Philip, as she wiggled her bottom at him.
The video was inundated with comments from social networkers, with many saying the lighthearted footage was the perfect way to remember the jovial Duke.
One Twitter user said: “I love this. Look at her cheeky smile.”
While another continued: “What an amazing singer/entertainer Shirley Bassey was!! I’m sure PP thoroughly enjoyed this special performance for him by Shirley.”
A third added: “What a joyous tweet – thank you for the share. The Duke’s face, Dame Shirley’s performance… such class & sass. The lady is a true legend.”
And a fourth commented: “Thank you, what a great tweet & tribute to both – the DoE loved every cheeky minute of that.”
Prince Philip died yesterday at the age of 99, after dedicating his life to Queen and country.
On Saturday, gun salutes will be fired up and down the country, at sea and in Gibraltar to commemorate the life of the former Royal Navy Officer.
Following the news Prince Philip had died, Dame Shirley took to her Twitter to share her own message of condolence.
She penned: “I’m saddened to hear of the news that HRH Prince Philip The Duke of Edinburgh has passed away. He was an extremely kind & charming man with an exceptional dedication to Queen and Country. My thoughts are with Her Majesty the Queen and her family. May he rest in peace.”
