Nikki Grahame’s former boyfriend Pete Bennett, who she found love with in the Big Brother house, also paid an emotional tribute to the star following her heartbreaking death.

Big Brother 2006 winner Pete struggled to fight back tears as he paid tribute to his former girlfriend in a tearjerking Instagram video on Saturday evening.

The 39 year old said: “I thought to myself yeah we could save her, but we couldn’t. But it’s okay she’s in a good place and she’s not suffering anymore.”

Pete recently visited Nikki and shared a touching final photo of them both sharing a hug.

“The amount of love and support we got was overwhelming and heartwarming.”

Pete then became incredibly choked up as he added: “So I’d just like to raise a f*****g glass, or bottle of wine more like, for Nikki Grahame.
