Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell shared her joy yesterday after her boyfriend Joe Parker got down on one knee.
“1000000 times yes!” the Emma Brooker actress captioned snaps of herself holding the impressive rock up to the camera.
Glamorous Alexandra often gives followers glimpses into her life, from the bohemian, stylish home she shares with beau Joe to her brightly-coloured lockdown hair transformations.
The 27-year-old took to Instagram earlier this year as she paraded a string of bold new ‘dos, from purple and blue, to orange shot through with her natural brown.
Alexandra even dyed one side of her hair pink and the other green as she showed off her creativity.
“Lockdown huuur for every season!” she laughed in the caption.
“Ts and Cs apply – effort only to be made in Lockdown 1. If further lockdowns are made hair will remain under a hat and be lucky if it is washed.”
As for their home together, Alexandra and Joe shacked up in 2019, having first struck up a romance two years before.
Their living room oozes down-played class, with a deep blue sofa and an antique chest of drawers, the room brought together by a posh glass coffee table.
The kitchen, meanwhile, is an impressive size with a modern vibe, including cream white cabinets and granite countertops.
And the kitchen flows into the dining room for an open-plan space, which also leads into a living space that boasts a wall-mounted flat-screen for movie nights.
Moving upstairs, Alexandra has her own dressing room complete with a make-up table and mirror.
And in the bedroom is a sprawling master bed laden with a pile of plumped up cushions.
Alexandra became a household name in the UK in 2018, after shooting to fame as a Weatherfield newcomer.
Emma first appeared as an apprentice hairdresser at Audrey’s salon.
The character went on to have a rough time during her early days on the soap, with her fling with David Platt ending badly after he dumped her for another shot at a relationship with Shona.
Emma, meanwhile, moved in with Maria and struck up a romance with neighbour Seb Franklin, only for the pair to realise they weren’t compatible.
More recent scenes have seen Emma support her dad Steve McDonald, as he comes to terms with his grief following the death of young Ollie.
