Tom Jones has confessed to using Viagra once in a while for some assistance between the sheets.
The Sex Bomb singer, who turns 81 this June, pointed out “a little help here and there is alright” when addressing the medication.
Viagra is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction, helping men to maintain erections during intercourse.
During an interview with American comedian Marc Maron, Tom explained he liked to give his vocals “the Tom Jones push” to help him carry a tune.
“How is everything else working with the pushing? Alright?” Marc asked.
Tom went on to reply: “So far so good. There is always Viagra. A little help here and there is alright.”
The legendary crooner made a good point, as Marc agreed: “There is no shame in that at 80. You gotta do what you gotta do.”
Tom has spoken out about his sex life a number of times in the past, once revealing he used to dip his privates in Listerine before making love.
In a 2015 interview with The Big Issue, the singer explained it helped “make everything down there sterile” before engaging in the act.
He said: “I use Listerine to make sure everything down there is sterile, like a surgeon before an op… It’s a good way to do it.
“I say that mouthwash is not only for gargling.”
However, Tom added that sex isn’t the most important thing in life, having grown tired of discussing his dalliances in various interviews over the years.
The Voice UK coach was married to his wife Melinda Trenchard for 59 years until her tragic death in 2016, speaking openly about his infidelities in the past.
While Tom admitted he doesn’t “regret anything,” he felt the media’s reaction to his love life had disappointed him.
Tom said: “That’s all been talked about so much.
“But that’s not the essence of me, that’s not what makes me tick.
