Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall are set to be rocked by new revelations about Princess Diana in a new Netflix show featuring unheard tapes.
MailOnline has revealed that the filmmakers of the new documentary are planning to release footage that provides more damaging revelations, based on resurfaced and unheard audio recordings made by Diana herself.
To mark the 25th anniversary of Diana’s death next year, the sequel to the worldwide hit Diana: In Her Own is currently in talks for a 2022 release.
The first documentary met controversy after the original release in 2017, with Diana sharing her “greatest love”, which was believed to her bodyguard.
American filmmaker Tom Jennings claims he still has six more hours of unheard recordings of the Princess. The recordings were originally made for use by Diana’s biographer Andrew Morton, who wrote the 1992 book Diana: Her True Story.
Director Jennings explained: “There are seven hours of tapes that Diana made for Morton. We wound up in our two-hour film only using about one hour of them.
“We’re talking quite a bit about doing something for next year, which is the 25th anniversary of Diana’s passing and also coincidentally it’s the 30th anniversary of Andrew Morton’s book.”
He added: “There will be renewed interest, and season five of The Crown will be coming out.”
Diana: In Her Own Words first appeared on our screens in 2017. It was later re-released last year by Netflix and was used to hopefully justify any controversial scenes in The Crown. The streaming giant has since removed the programme from its platform.
In the documentary, viewers were presented with archived royal footage and disturbing revelations of how the Princess tried to throw herself down the stairs while pregnant with Prince William.

The doc also gave details of how Charles allegedly hoped that Prince Harry was a girl.
Director Jennings believes the sequel will be just as disturbing as the first part and will cause upset towards the palace.
He said: “There are about 140 story points that Diana talks about over the seven hours,’ he says.
“We called it the seven pillars of Diana’s life.”
