A Place in the Sun presenter Danni Menzies has revealed she suffered a wardrobe mishap after her dress was “blown straight off” while filming in Lanzarote.
Danni explained that presenters have to wear the same outfit for continuity purposes meaning they have to wear the same clothes for four days.
Speaking to The Metro Danni added: “I think everyone’s had certain wardrobe malfunctions. We were filming on a beach one day and I wore a wrap-around dress. It was so windy, it literally blew straight off me.
“We spent the whole day driving around looking for a shop that had a needle and thread because I’d already filmed in it so I had to keep wearing the same one.
“In the end, me and the director sewed me into the dress every morning because it was in Lanzarote – and Lanzarote is very windy!”
She explained that the process takes four days per episode as it takes couple of hours to look around a property even though on TV it looks like people only poke around for ten minutes.
Danni went on to explain that disagreements between the couples were not rare with such big decisions on the line.
She revealed that one couple had the “biggest barney ever” leading to one of them disappearing and the crew worrying they would not be able to finish the episode.
She also spoke about how Covid had impacted filming the show, saying that over the summer they were able to film for an “intense” three or our months.

Danni said that they were taking it day by day but she was feeling positive about returning to filming.
She added that filming was different however, now that social distancing and having to wear face masks were necessary, causing the process to become more time-consuming.
Locations were also affected with last-minute changes becoming frequent causing her to have to “roll with the punches”.
