Paris Hilton posted a video message on TikTok to clear her name after she was accused of wearing an offensive shirt in an image that went viral.
The great-granddaughter to the founder of Hilton hotels became victim to a doctored image after someone changed the writing on a white top she wore to launch her sister, Nicky Hilton’s, clothing line in Las Vegas in 2005.
The vest was recently turned into a viral meme after someone photoshopped the top to say “Stop Being Poor.”
Although the 40-year-old seemed mildly amused that thousands had believed the image was real, the media personality posted the TikTok to right some wrongs.
In the video captioned ‘Don’t believe everything you read’, the heiress said: “So, there’s this photo online of me, I’m sure you’ve seen it.
“I never wore that shirt. This is completely Photoshopped. Everyone thinks it’s real, but that’s not the truth.”
The star revealed the real image of the shirt that read ‘Stop being desperate’.
Paris has been known for wearing other brash and bold statements on her chest.
