Alex Beresford left Kate Garraway speechless when he appeared to volunteer her for the celebrity edition of SAS Who Dares Wins.
The Good Morning Britain presenter seemed eager for Kate to see what she was made of on the gruelling reality show during an interview segment with Mark Billingham, who is currently filming for the Australian version of the show.
It wouldn’t be the first time Kate has suffered the brutal conditions of a celebrity challenge, after she endured a stint in the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here jungle in 2019.
“Kate says she wants to go a little bit further, she’s thinking of signing up for the celebrity version of Who Dares Wins – what does she need to do?” Alex quizzed Mark.
Kate looked stunned by the news, as the presenters shared a giggle.
“I tell you what, you’d better stand by Alex because I’ve got your name, I’ve got Kate and I’ve got Ben Shephard,” Mark warned. “I know where all of you live, we’re coming after you. You are all in it.”
Kate and Alex couldn’t hold back the laughter then, as Alex said: “Well, maybe we’ll see each other soon.”
“I tell you what, my little bit further is walking to the kettle and putting it on!” Kate joked.
And she quickly changed the subject as she said: “Well, good to talk to you this morning – we can’t wait for the new series!”
Mark has appeared on the UK version of the show since 2016, and first filmed SAS Australia last year.
He’s also appeared on the celebrity version of the programme.
And speaking about his former co-star Ant Middleton, who was axed from the show earlier this year over a series of controversial tweets pertaining to the Black Lives Matter movement and coronavirus, Mark seemed confident the UK show would still go strong.
Ant will still be working on the Australian version of the programme.
“It’s sad to see him go off the UK version, but the show is bigger than all of us. The new guy coming in I’ve worked with him over many years. One in, one out, that’s how it works. I’ll miss Ant, but we’re still working together out here,” he said.
Appearing on GMB in March, Ant himself said the UK version of the show is “all smoke and mirrors.”
He said: “From the last episode of SAS: Who Dares Wins, when I filmed the last episode, it became a half-scripted sort of reality show.

“Full control was taken… for health and safety.
“And after that show, I said ‘I’m not going to film any more, I’m done with SAS: Who Dares Wins’.”
Kate, meanwhile, is no stranger to roughing it in the name of good telly.
From sticking her tongue into a box full of bugs to living on rice and beans, her I’m a Celeb stint definitely showed her strength of character.
