Love Island's Wes Nelson splurges on £160K car after hitting millionaire status

Love Island finalist and reality TV star Wes Nelson has splashed the cash on a fancy new car – and it’s epic.

The 22-year-old musician was so thrilled with his success as a music artist he decided to treat himself to a ginormous Mercedes-AMG G63.

The car sells for approximately £161,000, a whopping figure by anyone’s standards, but Wes recently revealed he became a millionaire at 21 so why not?

Sharing an impressive snap of him perched atop the bonnet of his new wheels, Wes captioned: “Nah I don’t even know what to say…my new G63 AMG!”

The vehicle, which wouldn’t even look out of place in a Monster Truck rally it’s that big, is a bright shiny shade of blue.

Wes wore a set of camel-coloured lounge-wear for the momentous occasion, as he grinned in the showroom.

The Dancing On Ice runner-up could barely hide his excitement as he posed next to a friend in another image too.

Wes revealed last year that it was simply his sensible attitude to money that kept his bank balance growing, and refusing to get swept up in the hard partying and expensive lifestyle so many other reality stars do.

“I was a millionaire by the age of 21,” the singer explained last year. “And that’s not being a show off or anything, but it’s wise investments and understanding this life doesn’t last forever.

“I’ve been lucky to have so many shows under my belt, and I’m super grateful for that,” he went on to tell The Sun.

“I have a passive income and generational wealth, so my children, whenever they come about, they’re not going to have to work again.

“I don’t have to work again,” the star added honestly.

Despite being open about the reality of his new wealth, Wes – who finished Love Island with Megan Barton-Hanson in 2018, insists he’s committed to building his music career.

A true passion, Wes was over the moon to sign a record deal with EMI Records last year.

The star recalled the day as being a real “pinch me moment”, and even went as far as to say it was the biggest achievement he’ll ever make.
