Keeley Hawes starred alongside famous husband Matthew MacFayden on TV for years

Keeley Hawes has become one of the UK’s most sought after actresses since her stint in Line of Duty in 2013.

The actress starred as Lindsay Denton in seasons two and three.

But you also might recognise her husband – the actress married her Spooks co-star Matthew MacFayden in 2004.

The showbiz power couple have two children: a daughter, born in 2004 and a second child born two years later.

Keeley and Matthew began their relationship in 2002, marrying later in 2004.

Spooks saw Keeley take on the role of Zoe Reynolds while Matthew played the role of Tom Quinn alongside her.

Fans might know Matthew for his role of Mr. Darcy in Joe Wright’s Pride & Prejudice.

The actor has gone on to play John Birt in the political drama Frost/Nixon, as well as Joe Miller in Criminal Justice – the latter of which won him a BAFTA.

Keeley herself is a three-time BAFTA TV Award nominee, having been nominated for Best Actress for her roles as Lindsay Denton and Julia Montague in Bodyguard.

She was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Dorothy Wick in the 2018 historical drama Mrs Wilson.

She is also renowned for other roles such as DI Alex Drake in the British fantasy crime drama Ashes to Ashes.

It appears as though the couple like working together, as Matthew also appeared in Ashes to Ashes, playing Gil Hollis in 2008.

Last year, Matthew received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Tom Wambsgans in the HBO drama series Succession.

Matthew has starred as Tom since 2008.

More recently, Keeley played Beatrice in the 2020 film adaptation of Daphne De Maurier’s Rebecca and Valerie Tozer in popular British miniseries It’s A Sin.

Keeley and Matthew both starred in Spooks from 2002-2004

Keeley’s latest work was playing Patricia Neal in the 2021 film To Olivia, which focuses on the actress’ marriage to British author Roald Dahl.

The film was released in February this year.

Keeley was previously married to DJ Spencer McCallum for three years.

The two married in 2001 when their son Myles was two years old, before divorcing in 2004.
