Vinnie Jones takes swipe at Piers Morgan leaving GMB's Susanna Reid in hysterics

Vinnie Jones left Susanna Reid in hysterics on Wednesday morning after taking a swipe at her former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan.

The sportsman turned actor appeared on the hit ITV show to talk about the importance of looking after yourself during mental health week.

Before giving his take on the serious topic, Vinnie couldn’t resist lightening the mood.

Chatting to temporary host Alastair Campbell, the former Celebrity X Factor star teased: “I have to say Piers you look ten years younger.

“I don’t know what you’ve done to him Susanna but he looks 10 years younger.”

Unable to contain herself, the ITV starlet laughing as Alastair smirked away.

Since Piers left Good Morning Britain earlier this year amid a row over Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, ITV bosses have been filing the void with a string of guest co-hosts.

While Adil Ray took to the hot seat for April, former Labour spin doctor Alastair Campbell, 63, has been on the show for mental health week.

Talking about taking to the hot seat last month, Alistair said: “I am flattered to be asked and delighted that my stint will coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week as Good Morning Britain has always championed good mental health.

“I am also looking forward to getting stuck into the big political and social issues at such an important and difficult time for the country, as well as brushing up my knowledge on some of the subjects that will take me out of my comfort zone.”

The controversial star added: “In addition, there is an element of finishing unfinished business here.

“Back in the mid 90s I was a regular presenter of the paper reviews on BBC Breakfast and during the week the former Labour Leader John Smith died.

“I was in discussions with the programme about becoming a presenter.

“John’s sad death led to me working for Tony Blair and my life and career took a very different course…”
