Former Celebrity Juice star Fearne Cotton reportedly attended a house party in London that caused concerns over a potential Covid rule breach.
Fearne, 39, allegedly attended the home in West London on May 8, but police were called to the property after they received complaints that Covid rules may have been broken.
While neighbours were concerned Covid rules had been broken, the group were adhering to official guidelines in attending the gathering.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that on April 12 groups of up to six people or two households could meet socially outdoors for small gatherings.
Despite this, the police were called to the residence to investigate due to receiving a “number of calls” regarding the garden gathering.
Reporting the incident, The Sun claimed: “Two officers spoke to a man at the £3million pad but were happy no rules had been broken and left.”
A local resident who lives in West London reportedly also told the publication: “It looked like guests went in the back garden, where more can mix.”
Speaking to The Mirror, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police received a number of calls on Saturday May 8 alleging that a gathering was taking place at an address in breach of Covid regulations.”
They added: “Officers attended and were satisfied that no such gathering was taking place.
“No further action was taken.”
Daily Star has contacted Fearne’s reps for comment.
Further easing of the current lockdown restrictions is set to take place from tomorrow (May 17).
On Monday, May 17, for the first time this year, English residents will be able to enjoy dining indoors at restaurants and bars.
Previously residents in England were only permitted to sit outdoors if they wanted to eat or drink out.
Entertainment facilities such as cinemas and art galleries will also open their doors for this first time in months too.
But the lockdown rules are expected to ease further from June 21.
Despite this, the government is still continuing to monitor any further spikes due to the new Indian variant of Covid-19.
Although reports have now suggested that the vaccination is able to fight off the new variant, according to scientists.
