Charlotte Church is set to revive her singing career after more than two years away from the stage.
The Welsh songstress, 35, will take to the stage at Pontins for their Bongo’s Bingo party in Prestatyn.
A source has revealed how the booking is being seen as a major coup for bosses of the holiday venue.
However, while it may be impresive for Pontins chiefs, it’s yet to be seen what it will do for Charlotte’s career.
A source told The Sun: “Getting Charlotte on board is a coup for Pontins but a bit of a low point in her career.
“She has sold millions of records and used to sell out concerts.
“Playing to a load of bingo lovers and bluecoats in North Wales is a nosedive compared with the days she charmed the Royal Albert Hall.”
But while the booking may raise a few eyebrows, Pontins is no stranger to a celebrity star.
Over the years they have welcomes a host of household names including The Chuckle Brothers.
This year’s Bongo’s Bingo will take place from September 24 to September 26.
90s band 5ive will also play the weekend as well as TV comedy legend Paul Chuckle.
The last time Charlotte’s took to the stage to perform was in February 2019.
The Crazy Chick singer headlined Yes is More – a Welsh independence concert.
Charlotte kick started her career back in 1997 after performing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic Pie Jesu on This Morning over the phone.
After bagging a record deal she became the youngest artist to top the classical album charts with her record Voice of An Angel.
From then on in she was a regular on the TV and music circuit selling a staggering ten million records.
Away from her career Charlotte married rugby ace Gavin Henson and having two children together.
Sadly the relationship didn’t last but after divorcing she met musician Johnny Powell and married again in 2017.
Charlotte and Johnny have a daughter together.
