Jersey Shore hunk Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino welcomes first child with wife

Jersey Shore star Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino has become a father.

The American reality TV star has welcomed his first child with his wife Lauren.

The happy couple confirmed the exciting news of their son’s birth via social media.

Taking to Twitter, Mike wrote: “Romeo Reign Sorrentino” alongside two adorable snaps of the newborn.

In one shot the adorable baby boy could be seen wrapped up in a personalised blanket, fast asleep.

Meanwhile, in a second, Mike perched down next to Lauren as she cradled the newborn in her hospital bed.

The post was immediately met with a flurry of replies from excited fans.

Even the official MTV Jersey Shore page replied with a cheeky message: “Best jerzday ever.”

Mike and Lauren announced they were expecting a child in November last year.

The showbiz duo made the big reveal during an episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Speaking at Angelina Pivarnick’s wedding to Chris Larangeira, the duo gushed over each other before making the announcement.

Beaming, Lauren said: “I have one more little thing I want to share with everybody here…”

She then held up a small towel with the word “I’m Pregnant Too” written across the front prompting friend and family to scream in delight.

Hinting at the long path to becoming parents, Mike added to best mates JWoww and Vinnie: “We’re just so happy and we’ve been through so much that I feel that’s just going to make us such good parents.”

In 2019 Mike and Lauren were left heartbroken after the starlet suffered a devastating miscarriage.

Despite his TV success, Mike has also struggled in the spotlight.

He was ordered to completed 500 hours of community service by a US court over tax evasion allegations.

Mike and his brother Marc allegedly failed to pay taxes from 2010 to 2012.
