Tipping Point fans have branded one contestant “savage” as he hit out at a fellow player’s wardrobe.
Aidan, an engineer, appeared on Friday’s programme and made it through to the final head-to-head against Mark.
But when presenter Ben Shephard quizzed Aidan about his background, he made a definite dig at Mark’s clothing choices.
“You wanted to be a pilot, right? But you couldn’t because you need perfect eyesight?” Ben asked the bespectacled Aidan, who explained that he didn’t make it because he is red-green colourblind.
“So what colour is Mark’s t-shirt?” Ben asked, gesturing to his lime green polo.
“Horrific!” Aidan joked.
Fans swarmed to social media to brand his diss “savage”, with one writing: “The shade!”
Another added: “Haha! Aidan’s savage!”, as a third wrote: “F*kin horrific!” with a cry-laughing emoji.
Ben tried to smooth over Mark’s ruffled feathers, as he insisted: “Well, I like it! Lime green is never a bad thing.”
But he seemed to eat his words a little as he asked what advice Mark’s kids gave him before appearing on the hit ITV game show, as Mark answered: “They told me ‘Don’t do anything silly!'”
“And you put that t-shirt on!” Ben giggled.
Some fans did seem to agree with Aidan, however, with one tweeting: “So true Aidan, truer words have never been spoken!”
One even compared him to Orville the Duck in his lime green threads.
“I can’t!” one penned with a cry-laughing emoji, “Well done Aidan!”
“I can see that lime green shirt even when I close my eyes,” someone else added.
Mark eventually had the last laugh, however, as he proceeded through to the final round after beating Aidan out at a sudden death question, which was ‘What is the acronym used for both a cash machine and a social media abbreviation?’ – the answer being ATM.
Mark later revealed that he fancied buying a camper van if he were to scoop the jackpot counter on Friday’s show.
“Mark on #TippingPoint, what a nice guy! I just like him,” one fan posted on social media, as another tweeted in support: “Come on Mark!”
He ended up securing £3,500 and refused the offer of a trade for three extra counters to attempt to secure the jackpot counter.

During Thursday’s episode of the programme, fans were left swooning over one hunky contestant as they urged him to victory.
