Diversity’s Jordan Banjo has laughed off suggestions he was dressed up as The Viper on The Masked Dancer because he has a big “trousersnake”.
He sniggered: “You are being too generous to me!”
The Britain’s Got Talent star became the first celebrity unmasked on the new ITV show on Saturday night.
He had to keep his appearance a secret and joked his Diversity dance pals were stunned to realise he was The Viper in disguise.
He added: “The others were like ‘You are dressed in the right way, you snake, for not telling us!’”
Jordan did struggle with his costume as he suffers from asthma and found it hard to breathe in the giant mask.
He explained: “I wont lie, it was horrible to dance in and for me, I’ve got asthma and I felt like I’m just not getting any air.
“You can wear the mask for ten seconds and take it off and you’re sweating.”
He also said it was nice to appear on a show as a surprise because trolls are still kicking up a fuss about Diversity’s BLM inspired dance on BGT last year.
He said: “I was on Loose Men a couple of weeks ago and when they announced the line-up you always get five or ten idiots saying ‘I’m not watching. That Banjo is a racist’.
“It was nice be in this show and not wait for the comments to come in.”
Asked if this ruled him out of The Masked Singer, he laughed: “I think I’ve done everyone a favour doing this one. I can’t sing to save my life.”
The Masked Singer is set to return for a third series later this year.
The first two series were rating gold for ITV with millions tuning in to play along with the kooky singing contest.
Joel Dommett will once again return to host the series.
So far both Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross have been confirmed to be returning to their place on the judging panel.
