Robbie Williams is sporting an adventurous new look – that of a bald head.
The bad boy singer let his wife Ayda Field go wild with the trimmer, leaving him with absolutely no hair left.
Prior to his new ‘do, Robbie’s hair was fairly long and as she got to work the 47-year-old looked resigned.
The pair documented the cut on Instagram, with Ayda captioning it: “@robbiewilliams Is all or nothing when it comes to his hair …and apparently, it’s nothing now 🙂 #nohairdontcare #instamood #thebaldandthebeautiful #who’snext? AWxx.”
Ayda decided to make their balcony into an impromptu hair salon and at one point Robbie sat down to let her finish the job.
The Rock DJ singer wore a loud t-shirt while Ayda, 42, also looked casual in leggings and sandals.
One fan commented that Robbie “looked younger” while another agreed that “it took years off him”.
A third fan commented that the dad-of-four was “simply gorgeous”.
Meanwhile, he has opened up about “the real him”, saying that Robbie is an “alter ego” and a “superhero” – he is just an ordinary dad who likes staying at home.
He said: “Weirdly, when I do gigs, Robbie Williams is like a construct, he’s like a superhero.
“My name is Robert Williams, it’s not Robbie Williams. Robbie Williams gets on stage, Robert Williams raises his kids.”
The former Take That hunk added to the Talent Takes Practice podcast: “I did Hyde Park and I get on stage and I never know if he’s going to turn up or if I’m going to do it myself.
“At Hyde Park for the first four songs in front of 70,000 people, Robbie didn’t turn up and I had to do it and it’s f***ing terrifying.
“Then, all of a sudden, he appears.
“I know that might sound to the outside world weird and schizophrenic and maybe it is, but a lot of the time I turn up and so does he, some of the time I turn up and he’s still in the dressing room having a fag.”
Despite his larger than life stage persona and wild child antics, Robbie also admitted that he suffers from “crippling stage fright” and that it could make him “hate himself’.
But Robbie has found a way to overcome it.
He went on: “What I now know – which I didn’t and I couldn’t when I was younger – is that I’m bigger than the fear.
“Now, I still am that person but what I do know with experience is that I’m incredibly courageous and I’m actually bigger than the fear.”
Robbie also revealed that his stage act is stolen from The Rocky Horror Picture Show character Frankenfurter.
He said: “I saw Tim Curry in The Rocky Horror Show and went. ‘That’s f***ing ace, I want to be that.’
“I’m just being Frankenfurter when I get on stage, that’s all I’m being, I’m sort of mirroring people that adored growing up and they’ve amalgamated into the performer that I am.”
