Birds of a Feather's Pauline Quirke snapped sporting grey locks after ITV axe

Birds of Feather star Pauline Quirke has been seen out and about for the first time since the hit ITV show was axed.

Looked carefree and relaxed, Pauline, 61, opted for an all black outfit as she enjoyed a summer stroll near her home.

Adding a pop of colour, the actress opted for a pale pink scarf to keep warm which she wore untied around her neck.

The actress, who is best known for her short highlighted locks, rocked a long grey ‘do, which cascaded past her shoulders.

In February, it was reported that Pauline had had a major row with her co-star and best friend Linda Robson.

The duo had been close for over five decades but the row is said to have caused them to splinter onto different paths.

The Mail On Sunday reported how “real and tense issues” emerged after Pauline refused to take part in Birds of a Feather’s 30th anniversary special.

A source claimed to the publication: “Both Linda and Lesley were saddened that Pauline didn’t want to return to make a 30th anniversary episode. Linda and Pauline used to be very close, less so Pauline and Lesley.”

The insider added: “I think Pauline resented the attention that Lesley got and it was very tense and difficult to navigate at times.

“Pauline wasn’t approached about the Christmas special.

“The atmosphere on the set had previously become difficult, there were real and tense issues.”

However, despite the claims, Linda appeared on Loose Women to shut down the feud rumours.

She said: “Take no notice of what you’ve heard about me and Pauline falling out. It’s a load of old codswallop.”

The show first debuted on the BBC in 1989 and helped turned the duo into household names.

The show aired for just under a decade.

However, in 2014 it was revived and enjoyed further ratings success.
