Love Island's Iain Stirling hints filming has begun in Majorca with show prop

Love Island narrator Iain Stirling has dropped a major hint that filming has already begun in Majorca for new series.

The 33-year-old comedian, who has provided the voiceover for the ITV2 dating show since 2015, logged into his Instagram on Monday to share a cryptic post with fans.

He penned: “Not long now…” in his social media update which showed his and wife Laura Whitmore’s personalised Love Island water bottles.

Palm trees and sunny blue skies could be seen in the background of the photograph teasing that the couple are on the Spanish island preparing for the launch of the series seven.

Unsurprisingly, Iain’s post caught the attention of his 793,000 followers, with some rushing to leave a comment for the TV star in the comment section.

One observant fan penned: “There’s palm trees! I’m so excited!!”

Another added: : “It’s coming.”

A third person posted: “I can’t wait for this.”

While a fourth social media user gushed: “I am so happy.”

ITV recently dropped a new trailer confirming that the show will be returning to our screens this month.

In the short clip, voiceover Iain is seen pulling up in a red Jeep with a number plate that reads LOV3.

His arrival spooks one shopper, who spills her bag of aubergines and peaches across the floor.

Laura, 36, is then seen getting out of the car and smashing an emergency alarm marked “In case of Love Island Crack On”.

At this point chaos erupts on the previously normal high street.

A man sat down with his barber yells in joy that he has “got a text”, which prompts his barber to then shave a heart into his own chest hair.

That’s not the most bizarre aspect as people in swimwear start running through the street and beanbags begin to drop from the sky.

The chaos doesn’t stop there, with Iain being subjected to attack as people throw peaches and aubergines at him.

Like what you see? Then fill your boots…

Love Island was forced to be cancelled last summer due to the coronavirus pandemic halting television production across the world.

Paige Turley and Finley Tapp were named the winners of series six back in February 2020 beating off stiff competition from Luke Trotman and Siânnise Fudge.

The first-ever winter edition of Love Island was filmed in South Africa and the previous five seasons were filmed in Majorca.
