“He’ll be speaking about his years on Corrie and revealing some behind-the-scenes secrets. We are hoping he will reveal plenty of gossip.”

The four-day trip with Imagine Cruising sets sail in early September. Singers Lulu and Katherine Jenkins will also be performing on board.

William follows in the footsteps of Jane McDonald who is famous for singing on cruises.

It looks set to be the dad of five’s first appearance since he was forced to take a break after getting Covid-19 at the start of this year. He had to spend time in hospital while fighting it.

The veteran star has now been away from Corrie’s set at MediaCityUK in Salford for months.

It was first revealed in March how Bill had battled Covid forcing him to take a break from his usual life on Corrie.

A source added at the time: “[Bill] He is doing really well and is looking forward to returning. Bill is such a well loved member of the team and everyone is delighted he has recovered so well.

We can’t wait to have him back.””He has recovered well and is looking forward to returning to the cobbles as soon as possible.”
