Harry Redknapp insists Louise is doing 'great' after son Jamie's baby news

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! champion Harry Redknapp has shared his excitement over getting set to welcome another grandchild.

The football manager, 74, has discussed the happy news in a new interview.

Son Jamie Redknapp, 47, is set to welcome a little one with his Swedish girlfriend Frida Andersson.

He is already dad to sons Charlie, 16, and Beau, 12, with ex-wife Louise Redknapp, 46.

Harry shared in a new interview in The Sun that he and his beloved wife Sandra are “excited” to become grandparents once again.

But it looks like Harry won’t be changing nappies anytime soon, as Sandra quipped: “You didn’t do it before!”

Opening up, he shared that he and Sandra are still in contact with Louise following her split with Jamie in 2017.

Harry insisted that the former Eternal singer and the rest of the family are doing “great”.

Previously, Harry shared how chuffed he was about the news during an interview with talkRADIO.

He said: “I’m really pleased, it’s good news and looking forward to that, it’s exciting times.”

Harry also opened up in the chat about how he loves taking his grandchildren to the football, but insists he keeps his manager hat off while watching them play.

Louise and Jamie split back in 2017, shortly after her stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

The pair had been married for 19 years since 1998. They continue to co-parent their two sons together.

Frida is thought to be three months pregnant. The 37-year-old has four children from her marriage to US hedge fund manager, Jonathan Lourie.

A source told The Sun that Jamie and Frida are “absolutely delighted”.

The insider said: “They’ve been virtually inseparable in lockdown, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength.

“The couple started telling their nearest and dearest last week.

“Jamie’s been telling pals he’s really excited to be a dad again — less excited about the sleepless nights, and nappy-changing. But both he and Frida will be brilliant, hands-on parents.”
