Piers Morgan has been blasted as “fake” and “deluded” – by infamous conspiracy theorist David Icke.
The ex-Good Morning Britain loudmouth flew into a rage when he discovered “whack job” Icke has used his latest book to brand him “delusional” over his backing of Covid lockdowns.
It comes after Icke – who reckons the Queen is a lizard in human disguise – was booted off Twitter and YouTube for peddling dangerous misinformation about the coronavirus.
Piers, 56, seethed: “Conspiracy-theory whack-job David Icke sent me a copy of his new book, The Answer, personally inscribed with the words: ‘To Piers, enjoy my friend!”
“Obviously, I immediately checked the index to see if my ‘friend’ had mentioned me in it.
“He had, branding me a permanently screaming ‘’egend in his own mind’ prone to ‘I-am-right narcissism’’ and living under the self-delusion that I’m a journalist.”
Piers joked that questioning his journalistic credentials was one of “Icke’s more accurate assertions”.
But he went on to lash the Leicester-born former sports presenter for his controversy-baiting theories.
The dad-of-four blasted: “At least I don’t, like him, claim to be the ‘Son of the Godhead’, deny the Holocaust happened, think climate change is a hoax and 9/11 an inside job, tell people that 5G masts spread coronavirus, and believe an inter-dimensional race of reptilian beings called the Archons have hijacked the Earth and are stopping humanity from realising its true potential.
“I don’t know what The Answer is, Dave my ‘friend’, but I do know you don’t have it.”
Piers last year blocked Loose Woman presenter Carol McGiffin, 61, for sharing what he dismissed as “mindless Covid conspiracy theory c**p” online after she branded his TV warnings about the virus ‘hysterical” and “deluded’.
Icke’s book isn’t the only parcel in the post that has wound up Piers.

He also ranted: “I once had a letter reach me that said, “Piers Morgan, W***er, London.”
A copy of Icke’s book seen by the Daily Star shows he slates Piers in a two-page rant.
The father-of-three said the ex-newspaper reporter and editor has been “designated by the government” to do “essential work which I define in this case as propaganda”.
Icke also claims Morgan belongs to a generation of “press-enter” and “fake” journalist who rely on facts from Google searches – without being a “proper” reporter by challenging “everything” in the world.
The oddball has spent years transforming his theories into an £8million business empire by charging small fortunes for tickets to his live talks, publishing scores of conspiracy theory books and keeping fans updated online.
