Strictly's Shirley Ballas discusses 'worrying' cancer scare after finding lump

Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas says she’s “getting sicker by the minute” after a “worrying” lump was discovered.

The 60-year-old TV star is now awaiting her test results to determine if doctors have found a ganglion cyst or a tumour.

Shirley anticipates that she’ll know the outcome within a few weeks but has still been shaken by the process.

It’s been a tough time for the professional dancer, who tested positive for Covid-19 in March.

During her trips to the hospital her lump was found and thorough testing was started.

Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “I got the Covid virus and then they found a ganglion cyst or a tumour in my shoulder.

“I am going backwards and forwards to the hospital all the time. I feel I seem to be getting sicker by the minute.

“I can’t seem to get up and out.”

She went on to reveal that specialists had uncovered “something between two bones” but there has been no diagnosis at this stage.

“They have done the dye and the MRIs plus this and that. I get the results in a few weeks.

“The gentleman seems to think it will be fine but, still, it is worrying,” the star said.

It must be a frightening time for the Strictly legend who had a cancer scare just two years ago.

After Shirley had explanted her breast implants, doctors discovered an alarming growth in her chest.

During the process, the experts had found cancerous cells, with Shirley needing to undergo further colonoscopy testing.

This must have been frightening for the starlet after her mum Audrey had been diagnosed with colon cancer in 2019, along with her grandmother and aunt who have also suffered with the disease too.

Fans were left concerned for Shirley after she shared photos from a recent hospital trip earlier this month.

She captioned: “Good morning, how’s your day going? Mine started with the hospital visit.

“So here we go again, in the hospital, with a shoulder and arm [problem] and I’m trying to find out what it is.”
