The Lifetime TV movie documents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from the royal family, and viewers can now see the first trailer.
The film features actress Sydney Morton, best known for She’s Gotta Have It, playing Meghan and actor Jordan Dean, from The Punisher, playing Prince Harry.
The new trailer glimpses iconic moments in the couple’s life recreated for the silver screen.
In the trailer, Sydney and Jordan can be seen reenacting Oprah Winfrey’s tell-all interview.
The interview was shocking to many and elaborated on Harry and Meghan’s side of the story. It detailed never heard before inside information about the royal family.
In deceptive costumes and make-up, the trailer depicts many intimate scenes between Harry and Meghan including Sydney crying whilst holding baby ‘Archie.’
In the trailer Jordan, playing Harry, says to Meghan, “I see you literally being hounded to death and I’m helpless to stop it.”
The trailer ends with the two embracing closely and saying to each other: “I can’t lose you.”
The synopsis of the film reads, “The movie details the struggles of the new parents and unique challenges of being part of the royal family, which ultimately led Harry and Meghan to give up their royal ties.”
Sydney, the film, TV and Broadway actress uploaded the trailer to Instagram with the caption, “The cat’s out of the bag! Very grateful to be working with these wonderful people!
“AND I get to be on this wild ride with an old friend?? Literal dreams! Thank you everyone for all your kind words! Let’s goooooooo.”
Although fans spoke out against the casting of Sydney, she appears to have embraced the “wild ride.”
Perhaps she is channeling Meghan Markel’s character as she says in the trailer, “I am the person who is strong and gets things right.”
Lifetime has previously made two films about the relationship between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle including, Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance and Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal.
However, this latest Lifetime film looks deeper and darker than those previous.
Lifetime also posted the trailer on their Instagram page with the caption, “Not all fairytales have the perfect ending…
