Inside Ruth and Eamonn's off-screen life, kids, steamy sex life and lavish home

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are two of the nation’s favourite presenters and also share a happy off-screen relationship.

The This Morning duo started dating in 1997 after being introduced through a mutual friend, TV presenter Sally Meen.

At the time Eamonn had recently split from his wife Gabrielle, who he shares three children with, Declan, Niall and Rebecca, so the pair kept their relationship hidden.

The pair hit it off soon after Ruth had moved to London in a bid to break into mainstream TV after doing small presenting roles on little-known satellite TV networks.

They soon formed a strong bond and on June 26, 2010 got married in a lavish ceremony at The Elvetham hotel in Hampshire, a grand 19th Century building.

The pair have also started a family of their own and share son, Jack ,19.

The presenters have boasted that they have a lot of chemistry in the bedroom and Eamonn once joked about their active sex life.

He said: “I love Ruth deeply but also I fancy her.

“How could I resist? No wonder I look tired all the time – that woman has me run ragged. I go to work for a break.”

And Ruth said Eamon’s keen interest in her figures ensures their love life is still electric.

She told the Mirror: “Eamonn is my biggest fan and always makes me feel really sexy.

“When I think I’m at my slimmest he thinks I’m too thin. He likes me curvy – he loves boobs, bottoms and legs. I’m really lucky because it would be awful to have a man who commented on me piling on the pounds.”

Eamonn has three children – Rebecca, Declan and Niall – from his first marriage to ex-wife Gabrielle.

Ruth has spoken about she fits into the life of her three stepchildren on an episode of Loose Women, joking she is known as their “wicked stepmother”.

She said: “It is interesting how it’s always the stepmothers who are portrayed as the wicked or evil stepmother,” said Ruth.

“I am officially a stepmother, although they don’t call me that phrase often.

“I have that with my stepchildren. I actually sign things, ‘From your wicked stepmother.’ It’s like a term of endearment in a way,” Ruth added.

“I’m very lucky I have a fantastic relationship with my stepchildren. I always think a stepmother has to be very nurturing actually, it’s a very difficult balance and a fine tight rope you’re walking.”

Last autumn Jack headed off to university and it proved to be an anxious time for his parents.

Ruth told HELLO! at the time during his first week she felt like she had her “womb ripped out”, before going on to say she has recovered after that and he had “settled in really well”.

Jack and Eamonn’s three kids from his previous marriage bear a striking resemblance to his father.

Last year Eamonn posted a throwback photo of a rare family gathering with all four kids, showing him with Declan, Rebecca, Niall and Jack.

In the shot the group appear to be in a restaurant and are clutching pints.

And the pair often share snaps of the inside of their home.

One snap Ruth shared shows the living room which has a skylight in the ceiling, as well as a grand fireplace, L-shape sofa, wooden floor and huge windows.

In the light and airy dining room a large oval-shaped table and stylish cream chairs can be found.

The couple also have a laundry room, which has a washing machine and a cupboard full of towels.

Eamonn has shared snaps of his office which show it is filled with memorabilia including a limited edition Opus, signed by Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton.

Ruth often shares videos of herself cooking up a storm in the kitchen which has stylish wooden cupboards, integrated appliances and a central island.

Outside in the gorgeous garden there are sofas and lots of pristine hedges lining the side of the house.

Eamonn has told he and his wife have very different interests outside of work.

He told Sun Online: “But we’re quite different people in what we like. There are odd things that Ruth doesn’t do. She suffers from motion sickness so she doesn’t like airplanes, and she doesn’t do boats of any form. I could genuinely live on a cruise ship – but who would I do it with?”
