Smallville actress Allison Mack has released a statement concerning her involvement in twisted sex cult NXIVM.
The US actress has declared her involvement as the “biggest mistake and regret” of her life and says she is deeply sorry for all those she hurt.
The lengthy statement discusses her part in the infamous NXIVM sex cult ahead of her sentencing on June 30.
The Smallville star, who played Chloe Sullivan on the show, pleaded guilty to her charges back in 2019.
Courts accused her of being a racketeer and manipulating women into the horrifying cult.
She was reportedly second-in-charge to the cult’s awful ringleader, Keith Raniere.

The disturbing leader was sentenced to 120 years in prison in October last year.
In a new letter released by The Hollywood Reporter, Allison said: “Those who have been harmed by my actions,” which went alongside sentencing guideline recommendations from her lawyers.
“It is now of paramount importance for me to say, from the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry.

“I threw myself into the teachings of Keith Raniere with everything I had. I believed, wholeheartedly, that his mentorship was leading me to a better, more enlightened version of myself.
“I devoted my loyalty, my resources, and, ultimately, my life to him. This was the biggest mistake and regret of my life.”
The 38-year-old faces a minimum of 15 years in jail and has been under house arrest at her parents’ California home for the past two years, where she was banned from using her phone and the internet.

Allison later wrote: “I am sorry to those of you that I brought into NXIVM.
“I am sorry I ever exposed you to the nefarious and emotionally abusive schemes of a twisted man.
“I am sorry that I encouraged you to use your resources to participate in something that was ultimately so ugly.
“I do not take lightly the responsibility I have in the lives of those I love and I feel a heavy weight of guilt for having misused your trust, leading you down a negative path.”

The note sent from her legal team asked for no jail time for the star, claiming she acknowledged her mistakes and is remorseful of her actions.
They also included that Mack had “publicly denounced Raniere (and her own prior association with Raniere) in the strongest possible terms”.
Her lawyers said: “That is made clear by Ms Mack’s plea allocution, her decision to co-operate completely and fully with the government, and is further underscored in her letter to this court as well as her efforts to demonstrate her remorse to the public generally and more specifically to those she harmed.

“There is thus no need to impose an additional sentence of incarceration on Ms Mack to achieve specific deterrence.”
Allison was first charged in 2018 with sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and forced labour.
She then pleaded guilty to racketeering, racketeering conspiracy and admitted to state law extortion and forced labour.
