Mimi Webb, 20, has rose to fame following her incredible music releases over the past 12 months, thanks to her growing popularity on TikTok too, she’s landed herself in the UK Top 10.
For the week June 18 to June 24, Mimi holds one Top 10 single and another sitting nicely at number 12 in the Official Singles Charts.
Mimi, from Canterbury, Kent, boasts 1.1million followers on TikTok and 111,000 on Instagram, but TikTok has certainly been a big aspect of her success.
Speaking to Daily Star Online, she said: “TikTok has been crazy, the reaction that people have had to my music and the fact that a video can go viral in 10 minutes is amazing.
“I love that you can literally just post anything. Sometimes I have to ask myself ‘is this actually happening?’. When I saw my views going from 10,000 to 800,000 I thought it was a glitch, it doesn’t feel real because it’s all on your phone. I’m so grateful, it’s so surreal.”

Mimi expressed her gratitude to the social media site, adding that TikTok helped introduce not only her, but her personality, her music and gave her the ability to tease her music.
Despite growing TikTok fame, it’s clearly not the only site that has people paying attention, as Mimi revealed she has recently been added to the BBC Radio 1 Brit List.
She said: “That was crazy, my manager said we should go for it but I didn’t have any expectations. I never really expect anything, I just put it to the universe and let it do its thing – I love manifesting.
“I put all the good energy I can into it, when it happened I was like this is nuts what is happening! It’s so so fun and I can’t wait to see what happens with it.”
Mimi’s music strongly resonates with a lot of her followers, and it’s clear when she admits that growing up she was inspired by the likes of Adele and Emeli Sandé.

She said: “I wanted that goosebump feeling for my music. I loved feeling that when I listened to artists growing up, but I think of all my songs, Before I Go or Good Without is probably the most raw.
“It’s everything I’ve been through in the last few years of my life. I’ve kind of brought it all into my songs, it’s all different parts that I’ve put into lyrics, like when I feel a certain way about it I’ll make it into a song. You can really add things to it and just be a drama queen which I love.”
“Luckily there hasn’t been much pressure,” Mimi added.
“There are times when I think it’s overwhelming but that’s more the pressure I put on myself, I always want to make sure I’m working harder than I did the day before.”

One of Mimi’s first viral TikTok’s saw the beauty in her car as she recorded a reaction video to her friend hearing the song on the radio for the first time.
“Abbie McCarthy from BBC Introducing Kent really pushed it on there, so I did my reaction videos from the plays she was giving me and then once that video went viral, other radios were playing it too.
“I think after the success of Good Without people got really excited, when I realised my most recent single, Dumb Love, people were so supportive.”
Mimi signed onto her record label Epic Records when she was just 18-years-old and she admitted that she had no intention of having another option.

She said: “You know when you want something so badly that you lose the will to live? That was me! I was refusing to do anything but focus on my music. I just needed it.
“Now I’m working on it even more. Last year was all about preparing for 2021, we spent a lot of time getting ready and then that kicked in with Reasons and then Good Without and now Dumb Love.”
Mimi is planning to release new music soon, but she has still got a lot of excitement around Good Without and Dumb Love, which both sit in the Top 15 on the UK charts.
