The Chase is one of the most loved show on television, with millions of people tuning in everyday.
Over the past 12 years, fans have come to love The Chasers, with many having a favourite quizzer.
Many of the stars have become household names over the years, including cheeky presenter Bradley Walsh, and some of the stars have found fame off the show, with Jenny Ryan appearing on the celebrity version of X Factor in 2019.
ITV aired the first-ever episode of This Chase on June 29 2009 and has there have been 14 series of the hit quiz programme.
The six chasers are Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis.
Labbett and Wallace have both been chasers since series 1, while Hegerty joined in series 2, Sinha in series 4, Ryan in series 9 and Ennis in series 13.
Daily Star has taken a sneak peek at how different the stars, excluding Ennis, look compared to their early days on the show.
Mark Labbett – The Beast
Mark is one the original Chasers, but before his fame he was a maths teacher.
His alter ego name is The Beast because his surname is French for The Beast, and also fits in with his 6ft 9 frame.
During his ten years on the show Mark has beaten many teams in the UK and has also appeared on the USA and Australian versions of the show as a Chaser.
He has reportedly lost a staggering 10 stone after dropping from 29 stone to 19 stone.
After years of ordering customised clothes to cater for his weight and height The Beast can finally pop into his local Marks and Spencer and buy what he fancies off the peg.
The father of one achieved his tremendous goal through hard work and dedication with walking, cutting out sugar and two meals a day his secret formula.
He has documented his weight loss journey on social media by sharing snaps with his followers online.
Mark has Type 2 diabetes and was bullied at school for his imposing frame, the “Incredible Hulk” and “Honey Monster” were just two of the cruel names that became part of school life.
Shaun Wallace – The Dark Destroyer
Shaun is also another original Chaser joining the show for series one.
Before he joined the ITV game show he was an avid quizzer and campaigned to be an MP in London as an independent candidate.
He appeared on shows like Mastermind and The Weakest link, before joining The Chase.
Shaun has appeared on the Australian version of the show in 2018 and works as a part-time lecturer.
The Chase viewers were driven wild by Shaun’s “hench” biceps recently as his co-star Paul Sinha shared a behind the scenes snap of a zoom meeting.
He’s usually seen wearing his trademark black suit on the ITV show, but the backstage snap saw the quizzing extraordinaire wearing a tie-dye T-shirt.
The hunky barrister’s attire caught the attention of The Chase fans as he showcased his buff physique in the white and blue top.
Paul, known on the show as The Sinnerman, posted the snap of the online video on Twitter, giving fans a glimpse of what happens away from the ITV studios.
Anne Hegerty – The Governess
Anne joined The Chase cast in 2010 and has been entertaining the nation ever since.
Before joining the show, The TV star was a reporter and feature writer at the South Wales Argus and she has also worked as a ghostwriter.
She’s previously took part in a number of other quiz shows such as Mastermind, Are You an Egghead and Brain of Britain.
Alongside her work on The Chase, Anne has performed in several pantomimes an has presents Britain’s Brightest Family.
In 2018, Anne captured the hearts of the world as she appeared in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.
Anne bravely opened up about her battle with Aspergers during her time in the jungle and finished seventh on the show overall.

She reportedly lost a whooping three stone in just three weeks while in camp.
Speaking about her newfound confidence to The Sun at the time, Anne revealed: “It took years of psychotherapy before I even considered dating.
“I lost weight, replaced my glasses with contact lenses and felt a lot more confident.
“But I find it really hard to hold down a relationship.”
Paul Sinha – The Sinnerman
Paul joined the show in 2011 after previously working as a doctor.
After leaving the medical profession, the keen quizzer appeared on shows such as Mastermind and The Weakest Link.
Paul, who’s full name is Supriya Kumar Sinha, has also successfully forged a career as a stand-up comedian , something that continues to this day.
He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019 and has since bravely opened up about his struggles with the disease.
The quizmaster explained in a blog post that he was unexpectedly diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2018.
He went on to take part in ITV’s documentary Diabetes: The Fast Fix where he took part in experimental medical trial living on a diet of just 800 calories per day for four weeks.
The aim of the show was to see whether it was possible for Paul to “fast himself better”.
Paul later revealed that he’d lost a stone and since went on to lose more.
He tweeted: “I’ve lost a stone in weight. If I lose another I have a shout of getting an invite to a gay awards night.”
Jenny Ryan – The Vixen
Jenny joined the show in 2015, after being recommended by Anne, who had previously played in a quiz team with her.
The quizzer is known as The Vixen because of her red hair and because foxes are “clever and cunning.”
She appeared on a variety of quiz shows before joining The Chase such as Mastermind and The Weakest Link.
Away from The Chase Jenny has appeared on Celebrity Masterchef and The X Factor: Celebrity.
After initially being eliminated before the live shows, the public backlash was so severe, she was asked to return for the live ITV shows.
Jenny recently sent fans into meltdown by sharing a make-up free selfie online.
In the natural photograph, she can be seen raising a glass of bubbly to her beloved football team Bolton Wanderers to celebrate their promotion to League One.
She penned: “It’s been a long season… but finally WE ARE GOING UP! #BWFC.”
Jenny looked completely different from her alter ego as she ditched her voluminous hair for a more casual style.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
