Pop sensation Cheryl turns 38 years old today (June 30).
The Call My Name singer is known for making the headlines for her stunning fashion choices or her complicated love life.
However, she has gone up against some of the biggest names in showbiz over the past 19 years after shooting to fame on Popstars: The Rivals back in 2002 when Girls Aloud were voted the winners of the ITV singing competition.
Alongside Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding and Kimberly Walsh, Cheryl became a household name across the globe.
Girls Aloud went on to sell millions of records worldwide and Cheryl also dominated the charts as a solo singer.
As well as being part of the world’s biggest girlband, she’s been married twice, been charged with assaulting a nightclub toilet assistant, excelled as an X Factor judge and welcomed her son Bear Grey Payne into the world.
Chez has previously been dubbed as “feisty” in the past which is surprising to hear nowadays because she’s very private.
However, she’s sure has had a fair amount of rows with celebrities.
Daily Star has taken a look at some of the famous faces Cheryl has fallen out with over the years.
Charlotte Church
One of Cheryl’s first showbiz rows was way back in 2005 when she accused Welsh songbird Charlotte of copying the sound of one of Girl Aloud’s songs.
The Crazy Chick hitmaker hit back and said: “Girls Aloud wouldn’t be able to sing Crazy Chick if they possibly tried. They just don’t have the range, darling.
“And when they’ve sold as many records as me, then they can comment … Maybe Cheryl is bitter.”
Their public feud continued with Charlotte branding Girls Aloud as “five dogs without balls” and claiming Cheryl has “no backbone” for taking ex-husband Ashley Cole back following cheating allegations.
However, Cheryl didn’t take Charlotte’s comments down lightly and she Charlotte “a nasty little piece of work with a fat head” before describing Charlotte’s then boyfriend Gavin Henson as “scabby” and calling him “a posing idiot who looks like a girl”.
Cheryl also threw shade at Charlotte’s Walkers advert, by saying: “The one where she’s stuffing her face? I think that’s very appropriate!”
However in 2013, Charlotte said Cheryl was “really good” on The X Factor.
Lily Allen
The tension between Cheryl and Lily began over 15 years ago when the Smile hitmaker penned a song named Cheryl Tweedy.
In the track that discussed women attempting to reach unattainable beauty standards, the pop star sings: “I wish I looked just like Cheryl Tweedy.”
The Geordie lass took it a compliment and gushed at the time: “I’m really flattered Lily’s written a track about me. But I don’t know why she sings about wanting to be as pretty as me as she looks stunning.”
However, things got awkward when Lily hit back and said she doesn’t actually want to look like the Girls Aloud beauty.
They continued to clash when Cheryl labelled Lily “a chick with a dick”.
Lily then wrote an open letter on Twitter which read: “Cheryl, if you’re reading this, I may not be as pretty as you, but at least I write and sing my own songs without the aid of Auto-Tune.
“I must say, taking your clothes off, doing sexy dancing and marrying a rich footballer must be very gratifying, your mother must be so proud, stupid b***h.”
Fighting back, Cheryl responded: “”I have had enough of her and her big mouth.
“Over the last few months she has called [Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts] ugly, which I bit my tongue over. She called [other bandmate Sarah Harding] vile and my husband horrendous, but seems to have conveniently forgotten all of that.”
The pair have since appeared to have made up, with Lily saying she “felt sorry” for Cheryl during her problems with ex husband Ashley Cole.
In 2014, Lily confessed she regretted their feud and they were pictured together at a showbiz event the following year.
Louis Walsh
Cheryl and Louis Walsh are not that close considering they worked together on The X Factor for years and he was once Girls Aloud’s manager.
The Irish music mogul reportedly called Cheryl and her bandmates “fat”, leaving a sour taste in the mouths of the famous fivesome.
Louis once again threw shade at Chery by saying working alongside her on The X Factor “was never great”.
He then slammed her career, adding: “She won a competition, married a footballer and now she’s in a hair advert.
“Nadine Coyle was the voice of Girls Aloud. Cheryl made herself the face and best of luck to her.”
It was then reported that Cheryl felt “humiliated and hurt” by Louis’ words.
Not long after, Louis gushed that Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger was the “best female [X Factor judge] – by a mile”.
Things took an awkward turn in 2016 when Cheryl’s ex Liam Payne publicly defended her when she was pregnant with their son Bear.
After Louis made it clear there’s no need for Cheryl to return to The X Factor, the former One Direction star slammed him and said: “Shut the f**k up for once”.
Simon Cowell
Simon Cowell appeared to have a great friendship with Cheryl during The X Factor days.
However, things took a turn for worst for the former besties when he employed her for the American edition of singing show.
She was apparently sacked because of her accent, according to reports the American audience couldn’t understand her so she was replaced by Nicole Scherzinger.
Cheryl then hit out at the music mogul in her book autobiography saying: “F**k you. F**k Britain’s Got Talent. F**k the orange and purple outfit. F**k big hair. F**k the UK X Factor.
“F**k you all. I hate you. I understand you’re a businessman, and what I’ve learned from this is that business means more to you than friendship.”
They kissed and made up three years later and Cheryl returned to ITV singing show despite her foul-mouthed rant.
However, there was yet another hiccup in their friendship when Simon claimed Cheryl had “put on a bit of weight” during her X Factor US stint.
The Fight For This Love singer hit back at him and told him to stop bringing up the past.
Simon has also said he “didn’t recognise her” when The X Factor flew stateside and claimed “she’d lost her confidence”.
The pair are apparently on good terms now. Simon reportedly “comforted” her during her second divorce and he set her and Liam Payne up.
Liam and Cheryl split in 2018 following the birth of their son Bear, now four.
Cher Lloyd
Cher and Cheryl seemed like the perfect duo in 2010 during their time on The X Factor but things took a turn for the worse when the show ended.
The Swagger Jagger singer threw shade at her former mentor in 2012 and hinted that she “doesn’t sing live”.
Cheryl then tweeted: “Be Careful who you kick on your way up… They kick you twice as hard on your way back down… #UnappreciationIsUgly”.
Before admitting Cher’s words were “like a slap in the face”, she told GQ magazine: “She’s new. She needs to learn a lot. I went through hell to get her on that programme.
“Everyone says stuff at the beginning of their career that they will learn to regret. Maybe I didn’t teach her as well as I thought I had.”
Cher then hinted that they’d put the past behind them after she congratulated her former mentor on her second marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
The X Factor contestant confessed that they’d “made up ages ago”.
Alan Sugar
Cheryl attended Lord Alan Sugar’s 60th birthday and has previously appeared on Celebrity Apprentice but that didn’t stop him from skinny shaming her.
Shortly before the end of her second marriage in 2015, the business tycoon tweeted: “Catching up on X Factor. Cheryl is now too thin”.
She hit back and said: “I’ve got nothing to say to stupidity.
“How do you answer stupidity? With intelligence? If I cared I would be bothered.”
Katie Price
Former glamour model Katie warned Cheryl against shotgun weddings shortly after the pop star married Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini after just dating for three months.
In her Now magazine column, mother of five Katie, who has been married three times, said: “My warning to Cheryl… I don’t think you can ever know what a person’s really like after just three months.
“I’d be a hypocrite to say Cheryl shouldn’t have rushed in – I’ve done it myself a few times. Maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t.”
Also, Katie said the judge had “lost her sparkle” when Cheryl returned to The X Factor in 2014.

However, it appears that there’s no harsh feeling between the pair because Katie shared a clip on Instagram of her cameo in Girls Aloud’s reality show Off The Record.
In the clip, Cheryl called the mum-of-five a “f—king cow” because of her figure.
She said: “I think she looks fantastic. Her legs are amazing, f–king cow. Not one smidgen of cellulite, believe me, I was looking.
“There is no way those boobs have anything to do with the minuteness of that woman. They are just f–king huge. She’s making me sick.”
Katie captioned the clip on social media: “A massive compliment from the beautiful women @cherylofficial.” [sic]”
