Linda Robson says there's 'no feud' with Pauline Quirke after reunion snub

Good Morning Britain hosts Kate Garraway and Adil Ray welcomed Linda Robson on the show this morning to talk about various things including her ‘feud’ with Pauline Quirke.

Rumours were soon put to bed as the Birds of a Feather actress shut down the idea that the pair were no longer friends – despite Pauline choosing not to take part in the reunion.

When quizzed on their falling out, Linda said: “I haven’t had a falling out with Pauline Quirke, she just doesn’t want to act anymore.

“We did the Christmas special and Pauline said she didn’t want to act anymore, she wants to concentrate on her academies that’s all.

“There is no falling out whatsoever.”

Linda previously told The Daily Express that Pauline chose not to get involved, but added that the rest of the cast, including Lesley Joseph, still wanted to take part.

She said of the reunion: “I think it worked really well as they did a good script, and we did the best we could with it.”

Following Pauline’s decision to not take part, The Sun reported that Pauline and Lesley had a big row and things went “downhill from there”.

The source told the publication: “Linda doesn’t believe they’ll ever speak again.”

However, Linda said she had not fallen out with Pauline and there was no “feud” between the trio – just a career change.

The Christmas special was filmed last year after ITV asked the stars to return for a one-off show.

Linda admitted that Pauline made the choice to not be included in the special, but she was still written into the storyline.

It was revealed that Pauline’s character Sharon Theodopolopodous would be stuck on a cruise ship in Costa Rica because of Covid-19.

At the time that the reunion was announced, Show creators Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran said: “We’re really excited to help bring Birds of a Feather back to ITV’s screens to give the nation some seasonal cheer in these peculiar times.”

The Christmas special attracted 7.9million viewers for the reunion of Birds of a Feather – but it will remain just a one-off seasonal special.
