Inside Olivia and Alex Bowen's lavish £1m home with huge hot tub and dog bedroom

Love Island stars Olivia and Alex Bowen have allowed fans a sneak peak inside their luxurious £1million Essex property, five months into renovations on the huge home.

The second series stars moved into their five-bedroom countryside home in February, spending this year doing it up.

Now millionaires and TV personalities Olivia, 27, and Alex, 29, have been able to revamp every room in their house.

Their home even has its very own dedicated Instagram account, where they share regular updates on the building work.

The house has a grand entrance hall, featuring a sweeping imposing staircase and a stylish light fixture.

The home has plenty of space for entertaining with large open plan living areas, completed by a giant kitchen with granite countertops.

Olivia is particularly proud of the impressive four-tier chandelier, descending from the ceiling of the upper hallway.

Their living room houses a flawless white sofa, covered by a grey blanket and three large cushions, which their dog Winnie enjoys.

The couples dining area features a huge rustic 2.4metre dining table, which Olivia dressed with high-end crockery.

Earlier in 2021, Olivia shared that their kitchen was finally finished when she posted about it sharing that she was very happy with the final look.

She wrote: “WE’RE IN! It’s so difficult to get a photo to show you guys really how beautiful this room is in all its glory, I can’t seem to capture it – I’ll keep trying though obviously. I think maybe it’s because it’s a feeling rather than a look.

“This was our first big project on the house and kitchens are my favourite room, so I really just wanted everything to be perfect and it has actually come out exactly how I imagined it, which hasn’t really happened before.

“I’m quite overwhelmed actually however silly that may sound to some! There is still little bits to go like the armchair, coffee table, glass shelves, curtains etc but it’s finally useable!

“This is now officially our kitchen, living & dining space. Thanks guys for all your support along the way! Least that’s 1 room done, 718246 more to go… P.S look how cute Winnie is.”

The home renovations have certainly kept Olivia and Alex busy over lockdown.

Since moving into their dream house they’ve learned that The Only Way is Essex star Gemma Collins is their neighbour.

She added: “[Gemma] is five minutes down the road. She’s actually invited us over for a roast dinner, and a barbecue in the summer. I love her. I’ll pop over to hers next time we run out of milk.”

Asked how many bedrooms there are, Olivia said: “Five, but one of them is obviously going to be a dressing room.”

In February, the Love Island couple told OK! magazine that they plan on having a bedroom become a “dog room”, to fit their French bulldogs Winnie and Reggie.

“We’ve got a dog room, too. We’re going to convert the office into their bedroom – they are so spoilt! We want to put a door that goes straight to the garden, get them a little shower and dog beds.”

Olivia shared her plans to revamp one of the bedrooms in an Instagram post, as she stated the dogs would no longer share their bed with them.

As well as completely re-designing the primary bedroom to fit their standards, they also want one room especially for clothes storage.

Alex and Olivia married in September 2018 and want to rework their house room by room, as it is where they’d like to start their family.

The couple celebrated two years of marriage last month, dining at London’s Scott’s one night and STK the next evening.

Their relationship has lasted since they met on reality TV, making them one of the rare Love Island couples to have stayed together.

The pair wed in a lavish Essex wedding in September 2018 after a two-year romance.

Olivia told MailOnline: “It’s such a hard one to answer because I was never ready for a relationship when I went in there and we tried to be friends for such a long time.

“We were sort of trying to make it really casual and not really looking at it as a relationship and I think that’s partly the reason why. It happened so naturally in such an unnatural environment, we just clicked.

“I think it is really hard to find. I think as well we trust each other, we have fun together and we also have created a little bubble that we like to live in where we keep ourselves to ourselves.

“I think that’s a really key thing in this industry to remember why you’re with someone and to respect and trust them and that’s all that matters.”
