Emmerdale fans will be on the edge of their seats over the coming days, with murder on the horizon in the picturesque Yorkshire village.
In unmissable scenes, the village’s newest villain Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) is set to take her first victim next week, Emmerdale spoilers have revealed.
The newcomer, who is Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Sarker) little sister, has been causing a stir since her first appearance last year, making enemies of each of the locals.
Her relationship with David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) seemed to appease her at first, but now Meena is determined to move in with him – and won’t let anyone get in her way.
David informs her it’s too soon to move in together, as his teenage son Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) needs more stability in his life.
Meena then decides to convince Jacob to move away with Leanna Cavanagh, promising to secretly pay his travel expenses if he goes.
However, Jacob – who was previously groomed by schoolteacher Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) – knows when he is being manipulated, and catches her out.
When Meena tells David his son plans to move away, Jacob is quick to shut her down, insisting her plan hasn’t worked.
In private, Meena threatens Jacob, warning him he shouldn’t make an enemy of her, as he’ll live to regret it.
Could Meena take Jacob’s life in the ultimate act of revenge?
Meanwhile, Manpreet gives Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) one of her sister’s old rucksacks, pointing out it will be useful for Leanna when she moves.
Unfortunately, the rucksack actually contains some of Meena’s personal possessions – ones she doesn’t want anyone else to see.
When Meena learns what Manpreet has done, she heads straight to Liam’s house, desperate to get the bag back.
Leanna is shaken when Meena suddenly approaches her in her bedroom, demanding she returns the bag – could Meena stretch to murder in a bid to get her belongings back?
While Meena schemes behind her boyfriend’s back, David is equally distracted – by village chef Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins).
Parenting two young children, they decide to watch their babies together, but sparks soon unexpectedly start to fly between them.
David gives in to his feelings and leans across to kiss Victoria, putting his relationship with Meena to the back of his mind.
When Meena finds out David has strayed, could Victoria find herself in the firing line?
Elsewhere, Eric Pollard (Christopher Chittell) tries his best to win back Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop), and eventually proves successful, as she fails to deny his charms.
Brenda shows her selfless side when she tells Pollard that Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) can continue to live with him, empathising with her plight.
However, she insists she needs to move in as well, making sure no funny business goes down in the barn.
Faith is emotional when she hears she can stay, realising Brenda is someone she can trust – is this the beginning of a beautiful friendship?
On top of that, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) is furious when Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) catches wind of Leanna’s crush on him, and worries the rumours will never disappear.
