A Place in the Sun's Laura Hamilton ditches guests during disappointing viewing

A Place in the Sun pushed Laura Hamilton to her limits when she was tasked with finding a forever home for Nadine and Tyler is on the Costa Calida in Spain.

In Friday’s episode of the Channel 4 show (July 2) that originally aired in 2018, she showed Nadine and her best friend Janette around five properties because her husband Tyler could not make the trip.

The couple had a budget of £160,000 and Laura struggled through the fruitless search, with a problem found in every single property.

During the viewing of property number three, a three-bedroom villa in Fuente Alamo, Laura said the women were “making the right noises” and abandoned them.

Looking at the wooden ceiling, the guest said: “I love the ceilings, I like that about it.”

Laura chipped in: “It’s not really modern at all, is it?”

“No, but it is newer and they have tried to keep some of the character as well as make it a little more modern.”

Laura said to them: “Go and explore and then you can tell me your final thoughts when we are outside. Off you go!”

The property was very traditional

The two women then inspected the rest of the property and Laura had high hopes.

It had a sizable lounge, a summer kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate annexe with a bedroom, and a private swimming pool and terrace area.

Talking at the camera, she said: “Well they seem to be making all the right noises – I think we might have our first contender.”

Nadine loved the master bedroom and reckoned she could easily fit a super king bed in there, and she said the bathroom was “not bad at all”.

Although Nadine and Janette were impressed with the size of the rooms, it was not enough.

When Tyler joined them at the end of the show, he said none of the properties worked for him and described the villa as too “isolated”.

So the trio returned to the UK without making any offers.
