Maura Higgins fans puzzled as Michael Barrymore leaves comment on Instagram post

Maura Higgins’ latest Instagram post has left a lasting impression on her fans including TV personality Michael Barrymore.

The 69-year-old former TV presenter took to the comments section of the Irish beauty’s recent social media update with his thoughts on her designer bag.

In the stunning snap, the former Love Islander, 29, had her hair pulled back in a stylish black mini dress which she accessorised with jewellery and a glamorous white Fendi bag that costs an eye-watering £1,590.

It features a gold clasp and chain strap, going perfectly with her gold bracelet and has the classic Fendy ‘F’ embossed across the leather.

The post brought in a range of comments from her millions of followers, but the one attracting the most attention is from Michael, who strangely penned, “Nice Fendi bag there Maura. A lot of F’s. x””

However, some fans will remember that Maura and Michael took part in Dancing on Ice together in 2020.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star’s peculiar message comes after he faced backlash for attempting to draw in new fans on TikTok while the death of a man at his house goes unsolved.

Last month, Michael launched a new profile on the video sharing app and uploaded a staggering 17 clips in 10 days.

The clips were taken from a number of his shows, including Strike It Lucky and Kids Say The Funniest Things – which drew in millions back in the 1990s when the presenter hit his peak.

One of them was dated to March 7, 2001, just weeks before Stuart Lubbock, 31, was found floating in Michael Barrymore’s pool.

The former star’s sudden bid for renewed fame comes as police move closer to completing their probe into the 2001 death.

Stuart’s ex-wife Sue Homan, 47, has said that she thinks he should use his platform to highlight the £40,000 reward for information to help police find answers.

She said: “Barrymore says he wants to help and wants justice. Instead of posting clips of old shows, he should be sharing the reward for anyone with information.”

Barrymore, 69, has over 32K followers on Instagram and after 10 months of silence on the photo sharing platform, he has now shared 11 videos since May 31.

A source close to Barrymore said: “He is active on social media at the moment.

“He basically wants to connect with his fans.”

Stuart Lubbock was found unconscious in the pool of Barrymore’s £2million Essex mansion on March 31, 2001.

He had injuries that indicated a serious sexual assault and then died in hospital.
