Former Page 3 girl Leilani Dowding has spoken out against Meghan Markle and Prince Harry – and she’s absolutely fuming at the royal couple.
Real Housewives of Cheshire star Leilani, 41, has decided to offer her thoughts on Harry and Meghan’s actions since their bombshell decision to step down as senior members of the royal family and leave the UK to reside in Los Angeles.
It comes after the couple shook the world in their explosive Oprah Winfrey interview which aired in March, in which Harry and Meghan hit out at the royal family and “The Firm”.
The couple levelled a range of scathing claims at the royal family, including how an unnamed family member allegedly raised concerns over their unborn son Archie’s skin colour.
Meghan, 39, also claimed she had suffered from suicidal thoughts during her time a Buckingham Palace and the couple insisted they didn’t receive adequate emotional support from the royals.
Now, Leilani has attacked their decision to publicly criticise their families and has claimed it’s “unroyal” of them to do so.
In an interview with the Express, Leilani said: “I just think it’s so millennial-like, it’s so unroyal, it’s not classy, you don’t go and slate your family or someone’s family, publicly.”
She then went for Meghan, dismissing her by saying she has “zero class”.
She continued: “I just think there’s zero class and if she had any class she would deal with her family matters, as family matters.”
Meghan has suffered a strained relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, who she reportedly hasn’t spoken to in years.
He had been scheduled to walk her down the aisle at Windsor Castle, but was absent from the wedding and suffered a heart attack just 11 days before the big day.
The estranged dad recently accused her of being “cold” and “treating him worse than an axe murderer” in an interview with Australia’s 60 Minutes about his relationship with his daughter.
In her sit-down Oprah interview, Meghan had accused Thomas of “betraying her”.
Similarly, Harry blasted his dad, Prince Charles, for making him and his brother William “suffer unnecessarily” during their childhood.
He said: “My father used to say to me when I was younger and he used to say to both William and I ‘Well, it was like that for me so it’s going to be like that for you.’ That doesn’t make sense.”
He continued: “Just because you suffered it doesn’t mean your kids have to suffer. In fact, quite the opposite.
“If you’ve suffered, do everything you can to make sure whatever experiences, negative experiences that you had, that you can make it right for your kids.”
Former glamour model Leilani later said that she feels the Sussex couple are both trying to come across as “the poor common person” and that Meghan is unsuccessfully trying to emulate Princess Diana.
However, she suggests that whilst Diana was humble, Meghan has been “fake” and “phoney” with a false pretence of wisdom.
She also said Harry and Meghan’s public interviews about their family members have made things into what feels like a reality TV show.
She added: “It’s like the Kardashians… why don’t you just get to like Jersey Shore level at this point and just air everything. It’s all just fake.”
