The Void viewers have taken to social media in droves to accuse show bosses of simply copying hit TV show Ninja Warrior.
The new ITV series is hosted by former X Factor star Fleur East and Ashley Banjo as sees a string of contestants try and take on a multilevel assault course.
Suspended over a large tank of water, the high risk game tests hopefuls agility and nerves as they battle it out to reach the final.
The final round is called the Prize game in which one winning contestant can take home a bumper £25,000.
However, despite being entertained by the show, many fans don’t understand why Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “The void is just a copycat version of Ninja Warrior rubbish #thevoid.”
Another added: “Bet The Void creators were gutted when Ninja Warrior hit the airwaves first.”
A third chimed in: “I’m quite enjoying The Void actually it is growing on me and I normally enjoy shows like this anyway.
“However, I still think they should of brought back Total Wipeout or Ninja Warrior.”
A fourth penned: “I can’t understand why they aren’t just making new series of Ninja Warrior, Total Wipeout or even Gladiators instead of trying to create something new which really doesn’t work. #thevoid.”
Taking about the new series, Diversity dancer Ashley said: “I literally cannot wait to get started on this one.
“It’s also the first game show I’ve been lucky enough to host and all alongside the amazing Fleur East, which is another thing I’m buzzing about.”
