Love Island’s Toby Aromolaran has been in a bit of a pickle this week having now set his sights on blonde bombshell Chloe Burrows, having been coupled up with Kaz Kamwi since the show began three weeks ago.
His tricky situation has caused a lot of uproar from Love Island fans but the Daily Star wanted to know what his footballing teammates thought back home.
The 22 year old plays for social media football team Hashtag United, a semi-professional football club based in Pitsea, Essex.
Fans have been trying to figure out if Toby is a player both on and off the pitch, but his teammates said that his off-show and off the pitch behaviour is usually pretty direct.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, Hashtag United teammate and producer, Lewis Preston, said: “Well it’s come as a surprise to be honest as Toby is pretty direct and runs down the line on the pitch, rather than do triangle passing.
“So it’ll be interesting to see how this one plans out but I’m behind him 100%,” he then added.
Toby’s team players also spoke about the awkward moment when Toby had to cool things off with fashion blogger Kaz, 26, and let her know about the kiss between him and financial services marketing executive Chloe, 25.
Hashtag United defender, Danny Smith said: “You could tell he was uncomfortable telling Kaz because he has feelings for her as a person. And he is a nice guy and doesn’t like upsetting anyone.”
His friends were quick to back their star forward player and said that the Hashtag team back their guy all the way to the end and understand his villa tactics.
Danny added: “You’re there to find love and he has obviously realised he has something with Chloe and if that is what his heart is telling him to do then he has to pursue that. I’m a believer of the heart never lies, so if you follow your heart you can never go wrong.”
Love Island continues tonight at 10pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
