Cinderella guitarist Jeff LaBar was found dead at his home in Nashville on Wednesday after his ex-wife Gaile LaBar-Bernhardt went to check on him after nobody had heard from him in a few days.
Jeff and Gaile’s son Sebastian confirmed the news on Instagram as he said he was at “a loss for words”.
Alongside a collection of photos of his dad, he wrote: “So I just got the call… Jeff LaBar, my father, my hero, my idol, passed away today.
“I’m currently at a loss for words. I love you pop! If you could, please share pictures or video of all the fun times we all had with my dad. It would be greatly appreciated.”
Loving snaps were shared on his profile, with photos of him sitting on his father’s shoulder, and others of his dad in the height of his career shared on the page.

Friends, family and fans all joined in with sharing photos on their Instagram story, which Sebastian re-shared onto his profile immediately after.
Fellow Cinderella bandmates Tom Keifer, Eric Brittingham and Fred Coury issued a statement that read: “Heavy hearts cannot begin to describe the feeling of losing our brother Jeff.
“The bond between us over decades of creating music and touring the world is something that we as a band uniquely shared. Those memories with Jeff will forever be alive in our hearts.”

LaBar’s bandmates also said that they were sending his wife Debinique, son Sebastian and his family and friends their deepest condolences.
The group added: “Jeff’s memory and music will be with us forever. We all, band, family and management, appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of love. Rest in Peace Jeff.”
Cinderella formed in 1983, welcoming LaBar into the group in 1985 as the replacement for the original guitarist Michael Shermick.
The band went on a short hiatus in 1995 and resumed activity in 1996 which saw them do multiple tours in the years that followed as they headed into the noughties.

In 2008, the tours they had planned were cancelled after singer Tom Keifer’s left vocal cord had hemorrhaged, making it impossible for him to sing in the near future.
However, just two years later, they were back performing and even appeared at Download Festival in the UK in 2010.
In 2013 after years of touring their performances came to a halt, and in November 2017 it was confirmed that there were no plans to reform the band.
