Peter Andre has confessed that he would happily let his daughter Princess go on Love Island, after previously banning the 14-year-old from watching the ITV2 dating show.

The 48-year-old father has warmed up to the idea of his eldest daughter going on the show once she turns 18 years old.

He also revealed that he also has ambitions for his son to eventually star on a reality show too.

The Mysterious Girl singer originally didn’t want his daughter, that he shares with ex-wife Katie Price, even watching the programme.

But has seen likened to the idea of her being on the reality romance show – in the hope of her making a career in reality TV.

Peter told New magazine: “I did say I wasn’t going to let Princess watch Love Island, but now she’s 14 I decided to give in and she watched it with me.

“In a way, I’m glad I did let her because she wasn’t that fussed by it. I said, ‘There you go, you don’t need to watch it again!’”

Peter then mentioned that he’d also like his 16-year-old son Junior to get involved with reality show action too, as a way of following in his footsteps.

He said: “I know I’ve said I don’t want them going on the show, but in reality, once they get to 18 they’ll be making their own decisions.”

Though he would rather see his offspring on the likes of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! instead, the show where he and the children’s mother Katie first met and hit it off.

Peter and Katie starred on the show in 2004 which then led to their turbulent marriage and a string of spin-off reality shows following the couple’s private lives.

Writing in his New magazine column, Peter added: “I would actually love for the kids to do I’m A Celebrity one day as I think it would be a great experience – and if it wasn’t for the show Junior and Princess wouldn’t even be here!”

The former couple divorced back in 2009 and Peter has since found love with 33-year-old doctor Emily MacDonagh.

Peter and Emily share two more children, a seven-year-old daughter named Amelia and a four-year-old son named Theo.
