Love Island star Millie Court has been making waves in the villa since she emerged as a bombshell alongside Lucinda Strafford and stole Liam Reardon from under Faye Winter’s nose.
Blonde beauty Millie has had fans in hysterics alongside Liam as the pair savagely mocked Lucinda’s voice in a searing impression of her.
And now, though she hasn’t mentioned much about her family life while the cameras are rolling, it has emerged that Millie’s dad has a rather unexpected job.
He makes neon signs – and he’s dedicated one to the so-called ‘Freedom Day’ when coronavirus restrictions lift in England on July 19.
Millie’s Instagram account unveiled the bizarre business – dubbed Courty Neon Art – with a quick Story post on Monday.
“Hey everyone,” it read. “Millie’s dad is an AMAZING neon artist who is dropping a piece tonight at 6pm to commemorate freedom day.
“Keep your eyes peeled and possibly grab a Courty Original.”
And it seems Millie’s dad Robert isn’t just dedicated to neon signage, as he’s also a tubular glassblower.
His artist’s bio states he is “an artist on an exploration of light, colour and the written word”, and his signs include everything from lettering telling viewers to ‘have faith’ to some very Love Island appropriate white doves and love hearts.
At the start of the month, Millie’s dad penned a sweet tribute to his daughter ahead of her appearance in the villa, writing on Instagram: “My middle daughter Millie goes into Love Island tomorrow night on ITV2 (as a bombshell).
“Those that like the show, please do all you can to support my little girl and spread the word to vote for Millie, I will be forever grateful.”
He added: “I am immensely proud of all my three daughters and have always encouraged them to work hard, be kind and polite and always try to enjoy life to the full.
“You are only here once and life’s full of ups and downs, so be strong and go for it and don’t be afraid to fail. Be sure to embrace Love & Laughter and you’ll never be too far away from happiness.
“Love you Mils!”
He admitted he was “worried” about his daughter, and said he might have to shut his eyes and ears for the “raunchy bits” of the show – but wanted her to enjoy herself fully.
He even dedicated a sweet post of his neon signage to Liam and Millie, which read ‘Carpe Diem’ in white cursive lettering.
