Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen has divided fans and followers again with her latest Instagram post.
The 46-year-old farming star came under fire from fans again, after posting another paid promotion with popular supermarket giant, Morrisons.
In her latest paid post for the supermarket, Amanda posted some photos of her family enjoying leftover lamb.
In her ad, she wrote: “Over the last few weeks we’ve been exploring all the ways in which you can fully utilise a full joint of lamb, leaving no wastage whatsoever. Last week we boiled the leftover bone from our @morrisons lamb joint to create a luscious stock, which we’re now using as our base for a delicious lamb tagine,
“Morrisons is one of British farming’s biggest champions and its customers have raised £20m to support our farms so far. This British lamb is a favourite with the children and as they love helping out in the kitchen, they were excited to get involved with making this week’s dish and learn why lamb is such a healthy choice.”
Divided, with some angry and some showing their support, followers flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One follower said: “What we really need to do is support traditional butchers and greengrocers.”
While another penned: “Cant we just stick with the familie and the farm. You loose the charm of a yorkshire farm familie. New plates table cloth new dresses. Crying shame.”
A third wrote: “Why would you buy Morrison’s lamb when you sell your own?”
A forth chimed in with: “So how much are Morrison’s paying you for this bulls**t?”
There was a lot of support for the star though, with one fan commenting: “Oh for goodness sake, let’s stop with the negativity. As Amanda has said, Morrison’s is one of Britain’s biggest farming champions, it’s British lamb. Remember not everyone is fortunate to eat fresh produce from local butchers like so many of us are.”
While another fan penned this sweet comment in support of the star: “I think Amanda is a role model for women who work hard and do all that they can to provide for their family. I had four children and know how hard you have to work just to keep them fed, clothed and healthy.”
The star has started to accept paid promotions on Instagram, which has caused a stir with her followers.
The 46-year-old farmer has received a lot of backlash in recent weeks over her paid promotions with Morrisons and her followers are constantly divided by the star promoting supermarkets.
