Emmerdale villain Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) fears she’s exposed her killer secret next week.
The evil nurse pushed young Leanna Cavanagh to her death over the Humpback Bride in dramatic scenes earlier this month.
In the lead up to Leanna’s final moments, Meena confronted her after Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) gave the teen a rucksack.
Instructing Leanna to hand the bag over, Meena had trouble on her hands when the missing Pride collection tin and trinket box fell out of the bag.
Moments before Leanna died, Meena confirmed she had killed her best friend Nadine and, knowing Leanna couldn’t live knowing her secrets, Meena pushed her over the bridge.
Fans of the ITV soap saw saw the police tell a devastated Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) his daughter’s death was accidental in recent scenes.
Next week, the grieving father won’t engage with new wife Leyla (Roxy Shahidi.)v and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) over Leanna’s funeral arrangements and he berates Leyla for her and Jacob’s overblown ideas telling her he’ll be arranging things himself from now on.
He’s cutting as he tells her she has let him down when he needed her most, and she is left reeling.
Liam later tells village vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) he wants a traditional, dignified and respectful funeral for Leanna and he struggles to contain his anger as a defiant Jacob arrives and joins the meeting.
The distraught dad does his best to continue regardless, but a simmering Jacob’s determined, and things soon reach boiling point.
Jacob rages how he knew Leanna better than Liam, and a furious Liam storms out, leaving guilty Leyla blaming herself.
Later the young lad pleads with Liam to think again about the funeral, pointing out that it should reflect all that was unique and amazing in Leanna’s personality. How will Liam respond?
During the funeral service later in the week, Meena covertly fiddles with Leanna’s ring on her necklace.
She panics when the ring falls from the chain, watching in horror as it rolls and stops near Liam’s shoe. Quietly stricken, Meena fears discovery.

In recent interview with the Metro, Liam actor Jonny McPherson revealed that Meena will murder again as she becomes the newest iconic serial killer in Soapland.
