Loose Women’s Carol McGiffin has taken a savage swipe at former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan and labelled him a “hypocritical monster”.
The TV personality didn’t hold back her opinions on the star and reignited their feud after he previously blocked her on the social media platform, Twitter.
Unimpressed with Piers’ recent online debates and fiascos, Carol, 61, wrote in Best Magazine: “It pains me even to write his name.
“This hypocritical monster continues to preach, smear, defame, demonise, insult everyone who doesn’t agree with him or do as he says, while he continues to do as he pleases.
She added: “I hope he keeps it up because judging by the feedback he’s getting in comments and on social media, the more he lectures, the more people fight against it all.”
Last year, Piers, 56, blocked Carol from Twitter after described his stance on the coronavirus crisis as “hysterical bulls**t”.
But Carol didn’t stop there as she later attacked the presenter on Kevin O’Sullivan’s TalkRADIO show.
Not holding back on her feelings towards Piers and his publication on free speech, Carol said: “He’s got a book out about free speech. The blurb on it is basically saying people can’t debate anymore and they just shut people down.
“I’m thinking: Hang on – here’s the blocker who’s shutting people down because he doesn’t want to hear what I’ve got to say to him. The hypocrisy is absolutely breath-taking.”
She added: “I’m going to show people how intolerant he’s become of any kind of dissent, especially when it comes to this virus.”
But Piers sniped back and took a clip of her Carol’s interview and posted it on Twitter.
He then wrote: “Oh Carol, it’s got nothing to do with curbing your free speech.
“I don’t want to stop you talking your mindless Covid conspiracy theory crap – I just prefer not to endure hearing it.”
Piers has been receiving an array of backlash recently after he made harsh remarks regarding gymnast Simone Biles and her decision to withdraw from some of her games due to struggling with her mental health.
Outspoken Piers took to Twitter and said: “Are ‘mental health issues’ now the go-to excuse for any poor performance in elite sport? What a joke.
“Just admit you did badly, made mistakes, and will strive to do better next time. Kids need strong role models not this nonsense.”
Carol’s Loose Women’s colleague also had something to say about Pier’s comments and said his recent remarks were “shocking”.
