Piers Morgan drops major hint to fans he will be returning to TV screens with new role

Piers Morgan has teased fans that he has an upcoming TV role in the works in a message addressed to his haters.

The 56-year-old explosively quit Good Morning Britain back in March and has now hinted that he will be returning to our screens.

He shared a picture of Leonardo DiCaprio raising a glass from a scene in the Great Gatsby film that read: “Cheers to all my haters! Be patient. So much more is coming.”

Captioning the cheeky image, he simply posted an emoji wearing sunglasses.

Fans went wild with speculation in the comments, with many applauding Piers’ return.

One wrote: “Good! You’re missed. Haven’t watched morning TV in months x.”

“I hope so it’s boring tv without you,” said a second.

“Get back on our flipped screens Morgan!! x,” commented someone else.

But others just wanted to know what Piers had meant pleading: “Come on tell us.”

The post was also liked by Piers’ celeb pal Amanda Holden.

The post racked up plenty of support and speculation from his followers

The outspoken TV host walked offset on GMB after becoming embroiled in a row with weatherman Alex Beresford.

He then quit the show after refusing to apologise for his comments about disbelieving Meghan Markle when she said she had felt “suicidal” while in the Royal Family.

Since then he has kept silent about his future plans, resisting moves to bring him onto GB News.

At the weekend he joked that he would return to Good Morning Britain, even texting Holly Willoughby when a magazine linked them as possible co-hosts.

Writing in his mail column he wrote: “Holly & Piers – CAN THEY SAVE GMB?’ screams the new cover of Woman magazine.

“I wouldn’t hold your breath for this particular TV dream team. ‘I want the biggest dressing room,’ I texted Ms Willoughby.”

He said that the 40-year-old This Morning presenter replied: “You can have it. I won’t be there.'”
