Piers Morgan says he'd rather 'shove virtuous fork up his a**' in latest Twitter row

Piers Morgan has been involved in yet another Twitter battle this week, saying that he would rather “shove a virtuous fork up his a**” in response to a critic.

Olympian Simone Biles’ decision to withdraw from several events during the Tokyo Olympics to focus on her mental health – something that the no-nonsense journalist had many opinions on.

When he found out that the young gymnast was returning to the Olympics, Piers took the credit for her decision and took to Twitter.

He simply tweeted: “Simone has taken my advice and will compete in tomorrow’s Beam final. Good luck, Champ @Simone_Biles.”

Before replying back to a critic saying: “@Simone_Biles reads my column, realises great champions don’t quit, & re-engages in the Olympics as I urged her to do.”

On her return to the games, Simone bagged a bronze medal – something that was sure to upset Piers.

Jeff Yang then tweeted Simone, before getting in a snide remark about Piers: “History should acknowledge that @Simone_Biles returning from a dangerous psychological condition to win a bronze in what was likely her final Olympic event as one of the truly incredible feats in sports history.”

One Twitter critic said: “@piersmorgan has the choice between being a turd and being a human and he will actually choose human. But not today. Not today”

He finished off the tweet with an indirect jibe: “The white-guy “pundits” who trashed her almost certainly won’t.”

Piers couldn’t help himself, responding with: “This ridiculous virtue-signalling hyperbole has to stop. Good on @Simone_Biles for getting back out there today but coming 3rd on the Beam was hardly Tiger winning the Masters again.”

Jeff was clearly angered by the response he got, so he decided to give Piers a piece of his mind: “One of these days there’ll be a fork in the road where @piersmorgan has the choice between being a turd and being a human and he will actually choose human. But not today. Not today”

Piers couldn’t resist and said: “Honestly Jeff, if the virtuous fork is pointing your way, I’d rather shove it up my a**.”

The Twitter war continued, with Jeff saying: “I’m sure I’m not the only person who’d love to see you go fork yourself, Piers.”

Last week saw the former GMB host make a comment about Olympic medals meaning nothing unless they are gold.

Piers took a swipe at silver and bronze winning Olympians

The no-nonsense former Good Morning Britain presenter, who has a reputation for speaking his mind, no matter how controversial, tweeted: “Real sporting champions don’t celebrate coming 3rd.”

His comments riled up many former Olympians and sports stars, with one even offering to fight him.

Former professional boxer and three-time Olympian Paddy Barnes replied to Piers’ tweet, writing: “Piers, ill fight you for my Bronze medals.”

But has Piers changed his mind on his strong opinion of anything other than gold meaning nothing?

One Twitter user reached out to the former GMB presenter and said: “So #SkyBrown our youngest ever summer Olympian has won a Bronze medal, that is an extraordinary achievement. I’m sure @piersmorgan will be disappointed but I’m both in awe of her and delighted for her. #TeamGB”

To which Piers replied: “Not at all. For a 13yr-old girl to come 3rd in the Olympics is brilliant. Congrats to Sky.”
