Love Island's Iain Stirling works 'in a basement' – but podcast host gets lavish studio

Love Island host Iain Stirling may be working on one of the most popular shows on UK TV at the moment, but his working quarters are not quite luxurious.

Iain, who has provides hilarious voiceover content for the show, watches the episodes before they air and creates his own script to add the essential humour to the series and providing many of the jokes throughout the show.

Speaking about his job as the voiceover of the popular show on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, Iain revealed that at the minute he is working in a basement.

He said: “They’ve put a mic in the corner of my room and put a curtain around it. It’s in a basement!”

Although he did say that his basement is “so much better” than a glamorous studio, he also poked fun at the lavish studio that podcast host Kem Cetinay records in.

Iain said: “I’ve already spoken to ITV, Kem Cetinay, from Love Island gone, he does the Love Island podcast, and every day I watch him go up to a proper soundproof fancy studio to record the Love Island podcast.

“At the same time, I get a lift down to a basement in an old storage cupboard with a curtain round it, and record my voice over.”

Although Iain isn’t living quite the lavish lifestyle that the islanders do, it seems his basement cupboard is a big upgrade from the digs he used to work in.

Chris Moyles said on the show: “The last time we spoke to you, which was a couple of years ago, you were like, they put you in a little box apartment somewhere.”

Iain replied: “Yeah it was really bad, they moved me because a producer saw my room and thought it was best I got put somewhere else.”

Tune into The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, weekdays from 6:30am – 10am and Saturdays 8am – 11am.

Iain’s office might not be a fully kitted out room like Kem has, but it seems the comedian is content with his little room.

He works as a voiceover on the show during its summer season, providing daily content and coverage all throughout the series.
