Denise Van Outen has ruled out an attempt at becoming the next Queen of the Castle.
The 47-year-old is keen to take part in popular ITV show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here – but only once it returns to its native land of Australia.
Stringent restrictions on travel due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic have meant that, for the second year in a row, the programme will be held in Gwrych Castle.
And Denise, who is no stranger to reality TV – having taken part in both Dancing On Ice and Strictly Come Dancing – is champing at the bit to get out to the Australian jungle.
The mum-of-one has opened up to The Sun about her reality show future, explaining that she won’t be showing up in this years all-star line-up due to performing in Proud Cabaret Embankment.
“I do get asked to do it but there is no chance I can do it this year because I am at Proud,” Denise said.
“I will do it at some point. I think I’m A Celebrity for my 50th birthday would be something nice to do.
“But it has to be Australia for me, not Wales – as much as I love the Welsh. I am a lot more jungle vibes than castle vibes to be honest,” the star splurged.
Though not to worry – there are sure to be plenty of A-listers taking part in this year’s show, with bookies suggesting everyone from Countryfile presenter Matt Baker to Olympic medal winner Tom Daley could be headed out to the castle.
It comes after last year saw an incredible cast turn up, including Olympic champion Mo Farah, presenting legend Vernon Kay and opera star Russell Watson.
Denise, meanwhile, has been enjoying her stint in Cooking With The Stars – as well as appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox.
Denise recently told Daily Star that she is no stranger to showing off her sexy cabaret outfits to her partner Eddie Boxshall.
She confessed: “Oh yes, on occasion. I have walked around the kitchen in my outfits.”
The star admitted that working with her Cabaret All Stars co-stars makes her feel sexier, adding: “I work with such an amazing group of talented people, the artists are incredible, and when you’re in a dressing room and you’ve got all these scantily clad people next door to you who are in their 20s, it can’t help but rub off on you.
“There’s a really nice sexy vibe backstage so you just get yourself in the mood.”
