It has been reported that Declan Donnelly delivered an ’emotional’ speech as best man at Ant McPartlin’s wedding on Saturday (August 7).
The Sun reported Dec said that Ant was the “best friend a man could have” before reading a prayer for the attendants at the ceremony.
Both Ant and Dec arrived at the quaint Hampshire church around midday on Saturday, where they could both be seen wearing matching black suits as they stood beneath the purple floral arch.
The duo looked dapper in their swanky suits with pastel-coloured corsages before heading inside to prepare for Anne-Marie’s arrival.
Ant and Dec formed as a duo after their meeting as child stars on the CBBC drama Byker Grove later spawning music careers as musicians PJ & Duncan; the names of their characters from the series.
The duo have since pursued careers as television presenters, and currently host Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, and Britain’s Got Talent.

The paper also reported that a guest explained that fellow Saturday Night Takeaway and BGT star, Stephen Mulhern gave the event a “light-hearted feel”.
It is reported that he was “cracking jokes and telling tales of his friendship with Ant”, leaving everyone “in rafts of laughter”.
Stephen attended the romantic nuptials solo while wearing a light blue suit as he waved to fans as he jokingly shouted: “It’s my time! I’m getting married!”

After the nuptials were sealed with a kiss, guests emerged from the quaint little church before heading to Heckfield Place for a celebratory bash to congratulate the newly weds.
It is reported that 150 guests enjoyed the lavish get-together to celebrate the couple who have been together since 2018.
Ant and his new wife Anne-Marie became engaged when he proposed to her on Christmas Eve last year, in 2020.

The couple got together following Ant’s divorce from first wife Lisa Armstrong, after being married for 11 years.
The newlyweds became close during Ant’s well-publicised struggles.
Anne-Marie was his “rock” when Ant endured a prescription drug problem following complications with knee surgery.
